Rancho Gordo: Flageolet Bean
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
Dreamy, creamy beans that keep their shape even when slow-cooked. They're great with rich braised meats like lamb or oxtails, and a perfect choice for stews and such. (via married ...with dinner)

Fatted Calf charcuterie

Description
Even when I don't -need- provisions, I always stop at Fatted Calf and pick up a few cured-meat items for the week. Favorites: Toulouse sausage (a classic fresh, French-style garlic saucisson), Pate Maison (all kinds of porky goodness mushed together like the most sinful cold meatloaf). They're also my source for the occasional packet of Duck Confit for my famous cassoulet, or a perfect quick dinner: just sear and serve. (via Married ...with dinner)

June Taylor Organic Preserves

Description
So far, my favorite June Taylor preserve is her Summer Sweet white peach. Was it good? Let’s just say the jar I brought home is already gone. Other favorites include the three-fruit marmalade and Damson Plum preserves.

Description
These crunchy (yet light-as-air) confections are every bit as good as the ones you ate on the banks of the Seine.

The San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market Cookbook

2 people recommended this item
Description
The subtitle's "A Comprehensive Guide to Impeccable Produce Plus Seasonal Recipes", but it's oh-so-much more than that. Filled with recipes culled from dozens of cookbooks, plus personal interviews with favorite farmers and purveyors... a must-have for Bay Area residents and a fantastic gift for anyone who loves San Francisco.

Rancho Gordo Red Nightfall Beans
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
Sure, these beans are gorgeous, but they're not just another pretty face. They won't fall apart during cooking, but as soon as you bite into them they go all creamy and lovely. You can use them in your favorite recipes, but they're tasty enough to eat all on their own with a little drizzle of olive oil.

Rancho Gordo Flor de Junio beans
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
They look a little like plain-old pintos (the bean, not the car) but these heirloom beans are much more gorgeous ...and tasty.

Eatwell Farms rosemary salt

Description
Sprinkle it on a tomato salad, mix it with sweet butter and slather it under the skin of a chicken before roasting, or mix it with a little olive oil for a gorgeous-smelling exfoliating scrub.

Bariani Olive Oil
First to recommend

Description
What's not to love about stone-crushed, cold-pressed, decanted and unfiltered California extra-virgin olive oil? I mean, the hyphens alone make it worth seeking out.
Seriously, though.. this is some flavorful stuff. I suppose you could use it to make salad dressings or to cook with, but its best use is drizzled over bruschetta or a bowl of pasta.

Bellwether Farms' Crescenza cheese
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
It's tangy, salty, and gooey... kind of like a runny brie married to a really good mozzarella. (via Married ...with dinner)
