Verizon Wireless Blackberry 8830

Description

Verizon Wireless gets into the worldphone game with today's release of the the Blackberry 8830, their first true world/smartphone that's actually usable.

Rocking a dual network setup (CDMA/GSM), the 8830 allows you to get EVDO speeds in the US and when you jetset to Europe or some other foreign country, you skip over to the GSM network (the standard in pretty much the rest of the world).

Definitely a hot device and the way to go on the VZW network if you want a blackberry and travel. (via Engadget)

Sensear Noise Cancelling Headphones

First to recommend

Description

Not exactly the type of stuff I'd rock at the club, but sensear has put together a nice pair of headphones that will cancel out noise while enhancing voice comm and other things that you want to hear.

Sensear uses a combination of software and hardware that adds gain selectively in the direction of the speaker while blocking off noise from other directions.

They've also been nice enough to rock a bluetooth attachment, so that you can get your phones calls handsfree. (via Gizmodo)

Panasonic W5

Description

At 2.64 lbs, this is currently the lightest notebook in the market. Light, however, does not mean that this isnt' feature rich. It's sports a 12.1" display, 160GB HDD, DVD burner, Core 2 Duo chipset, and a standard battery that lists 10.5 hours (or about 6 hours of real time usage). That's pretty impressive1

What makes the laptop so thin and light is the unique top loading DVD design. It also keeps the finger from cramping up by providing one the largest keyboards in the sub 3lb notebook space.

Sony Vaio VGN-SZ93

Description

If you're looking to stay mobile but need more performance, the Vaio SZ93 is the way to go. Rocking a 13.3" widescreen display, dedicated graphics card (improved performance), 200GB HDD, and all the amenities, it still manages to weigh in at a light 3.73 lbs (less than your yorkshire terrier).

Sony continues to make all of this possible by using carbon fiber to reduce weight as well as dissipate heat.

If you're looking for a little more, this is the way to do it.

Panasonic R6

Description

A laptop stylish enough for my girlfriend and powerful enough for me. The Panasonic R6 weighs in at a scant 2lbs and features 9 different colors for covers, but don't let its feminine stylings deceive you.

Inside you're rocking an Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo processor, 10.4" display, 2.0gb RAM (max) and 30-160GB HDD, along with an 8 hour battery (4-5 hours of usage)

Perfect for the upwardly mobile businesswoman (or man!)

Sony Vaio G1

Description

Carbon Fiber is no longer just for cars. Sony's subnotebook line all integrates CF as a weight saving measure to lighten up their notebooks. Take the Sony Vaio G1. It's a 12.1" laptop and weighs a scant 1.89lbs.

The rest of the specs aren't bad either: 1.33GHz Core Solo, 2.0GB max RAM, and 100gb HDD. It also features dual wifi antennas to improve reception and a host of other nice features.

Definitely one to check out if you're going light.

Samsung E210

First to recommend

Description

One of the nice things about cell phone technology is the trickle down effect. As manufacturers refine the production and find some economies of scale (you can tell I've been working too much this morning), certain features start to get passed down to their lower end phones.

Samsung's E210 would be an example of that. There's nothing too special about this phone, but the form factor is the same their ultra-edition line of phones. At 16.5mm, this is a nice flip phone that'll sleek and sexy and will fit right into your shirt or back pocket.

And the required specs below:

GSM 900/1800/1900, GPRS class 10 connectivity
120×160 px, 65K color OLED screen
96×96 px, monochrome external display
1.3 mpx camera
176×144/15 fps video capture
10MB of Internal memory
microSD memory card slot
Bluetooth, USB
Dimensions: 92×44x16.5 mm
Weight: 82g

Available in Europe and online. (via Gizmodo)

Viper Exo

Description

I'll admit...I have a computer bag fetish. I've gone through maybe 30 bags, always in search of the newest and coolest looking one. I especially love it when it's filled with pockets for me to stuff things into.

Fits up to a 15" notebook, Semi-rigid molded construction, tough seatbelt nylon shoulder strap, and accent stitching. I like.

Perfect for the TZ90 that I'm picking up. (via Uncrate)
