Organic Valley Farms - Organic Milk, Dairy, Natural Foods

2 people recommended this item

Description

This company keep expanding their offerings from organic milk to cheese to yogurt and even ice cream. Not only are all the items certified organic but they are all from local farmers that together form a collective community. Organic and local is a good combination although the products may actually be shipped a distance from farms to grocery shelf. This company is also big on educating consumers about the source and history of what ends up on our tables.

Description

This company offers some of the tastiest and most beautifully present teas available anywhere in the world and they are also going green. In addition to their expanding lines of organic and green teas – Green Tea Tropical is my favorite – owners Gary Shinner and Jill Portman are also using recycled cardboard in some of their packaging and are now making their mesh tea bags from a biodegradable material.

Hemp Pants

Description

My olive green “jeans” are softer than any other pant material I’ve had while being made from a renewable, pesticide-free resource. I got my pants from a woman selling in a booth at Solfest in Hopland, California two years ago and the company is Harvest, a hemp company from Australia. Totally legal too!

Organic Bouquet

Description

Founder Gerald Prolman was a decade ahead of the curve in introducing a new concept to the green marketplace; a pesticide-free item that was not consumed but whose alternative was unhealthy for growers and environment nonetheless. The business has grown rapidly each year, creating a healthy profit and demand for pesticide-free “natural” flowers – a blooming alternative!
