This movie is so much fun! THe kind of movie that makes you sigh afterwards and feel full of exuberance and life.
Priscilla is about 3 Australian drag queens (and one of them is played perfectly by Guy Pearce/ Memento) on a road trip. Along their journey the stop and performed form local audiences with a mixed reception.
This movie is outstanding! And the soundtrack is great too. (via Amazon)

This is another 4 star movie you need to rush to see. Its a disturbing thriller about a couple (Sam Neil and Nicole Kidman) on the open seas in their boat. Being the good samaritans they are they come across a man (Billy Zane) passed out in a boat and bring him aboard. BAD MOVE! Terror on the high seas. Newton's character is a Ugandan student who doesn't fit in and begins dating a British boy from the near by boys academy. The couple's relationship is of course forbidden and they must hide their affections.

This is an amazing Peter Jackson film (pre Lord of the RIngs) Jackson's career trajectory really leaves me confused. He went from gory low brow B movies like Bad Taste to mainstream fair like Heavenly Creatures to Lord of the Rings. Consistency, please.
Heavenly Creatures is at first a sweet movie about the friendship between two teen girls that moves to being a little odd, to awkward, to disturbing. One of these girls is crazy and takes the other one to crazytown with her. (via Amazon)
