Wilkommen! This is the remarkable story about life in 1931 Berlin from the perspective of a group of bonne vivants at the Kit Kat Club nightclub. At the centre of the tale is the American Sally Bowles (Liza Minnelli), her lover Brian (Michael York) and the nightclub's Master of Ceremonies played by the scene-stealing Joel Grey.

As the economic, social and political situation in Germany deteriorates, the gang at the Kit Kat Club try to distract their patrons and themselves from what is happening. Cabaret won 8 Academy Awards in 1972. The songs are absolute classics and performed with the perfect amount of emotion, glee and sensuality, the costumes are dramatic and its easy to forget that this was made in the early 70s.

A love song to the decadent side to Berlin, it's a truly remarkable film.

I used to work for Lush and most of the products I loved have been discontinued (they're constantly doing that - why? why?) But they've smartened up and come up with Retro Lush - many of their old and discontinued products can be found here. Despite knowing that these things are meant to smell and look delicious, I was always tempted by the citrusy-spicy-sweet smell of the Floating Islands and the fact that it looks like a little vanilla cake! It's made with almond oil, lemon oil and sandalwood oil, so hence the yummy smell, but it's also designed to be incredibly moisturizing and softening on your skin. It may be only for a limited time, but you can buy things like the After 8:30 Massage Bar, made with peppermint oil, cocoa butter and yes, white and dark chocolate!

But this, despite what it looks and smells like, is not for eating. When it's rubbed into the skin, it becomes massageable and incredibly moisturizing. I loved this for my feet - peppermint is refreshing and deodorizing. (via lush.com)
