There are certain prank gifts that are fun to look at for a minute and then get tossed in a drawer. This gets used. Trust me. This really gets used.
Also great for parties... I like to set up "playtables" all over. You'd be a bit surprised at just how into it people get after a few martinis. No wives have been lost to bad bets yet, but I forsee that happening one of these days....

I own two of these. That's how much use they get at parties. There have been actual LINES that have formed to play. I know, I was a little shocked and disturbed too....
Great price for anything from an office party or hostess gift to a back-seat-child-entertainment system.

New Parents Checklist

Description
Great little somethin' somethin' to tuck into a present bag for a new mom/dad. It's a checklist of what to pack when you leave the house with Junior.
By spawn #3, my list was a bit shorter.
Baggy of Cheerios
Diaper shoved in coat pocket
Wipes (if we're going somewhere fancy)
But for the first one, I too believed in full accessorization.

I came across these when turning my 2-year-old son's "baby" room into a big boy garage-themed room. They're very sturdy and look great on the wall. The depth is just right for holding his model car collection.

This is a small-scale (ie for kids) guitar with a dry erase surface so kids can get really creative with designs or keep it simple with lyric cheat sheets. Whatever they choose, it is a neat idea to let them really personalize their instrument.

I've had this for a year or two and received a lot of compliments on it. In "person," it's actually quite delicate and small, not a full-sized penny.
It's a sweet little bit o' bling.

Description
As a mom of three, I'm pretty familiar with the lack of personal space that comes with gestating in public. Lots of hands. Touching me. Argh.
So here's a cute baby shower/preggo present that helps let people know Do Not Touch. Well, of course the catch is you have to be wearing a cut-off t-shirt. Dang. There's always a catch.
It's also a great item for providing entertainment at the shower- set up a little tattoo station and let the ladies be their bad ass selves, pregnant themselves or not.

Goldfish and Cheerio Necklaces

Description
There are few things that remind me of my kids' Babyhood as much as Cheerios and Goldfish crackers. Rarely did I leave the house without packing these as artillery. So these necklaces tug at my heartstrings and are, in my opinion, a fantastic gift for any mom.
A few details from the web site:
Cheerio Necklace
Ahhh...breakfast cereal. Good to eat, better to wear! Your friends wear real Cheerios strung on yarn by their little ones... But you can wear yours in solid sterling silver! Cast from an actual Cheerio, this solid sterling silver charm speaks to moms as a symbol of motherhood. Beautiful hung on a dainty 1.5mm sterling ball chain. Charm: approx. 1/2" in diameter Necklace: approx. 18" chain
Goldfish Cracker Necklace
There are just some things in life that bring back a rush of great childhood memories. Like opening your lunch bag to find a note scribbled on your napkin by your mom and a baggie full of cheesy fish crackers! Ah... the simpler times. It's solid sterling silver and arrives on an 18" sterling silver chain.
