Description

We've tried lots of carriers and this is the one that we love the most. We travel a lot and this goes with us easily! It doesn't take up the room that a frame pack would. My back and shoulders do not hurt as they did with ALL other carriers. Add the coordinating backpack to store needed items and you're off! Use the infant pillow insert to carry your newborn. Later, use as a front, hip and/or back carry! Can be used well into toddlerhood! The website even has videos to show you how to use it! These are made in China under Fair Trade. Baby Beluga, by Raffi

It took me so long to come around to this book and to the overall genius of Raffi (who I still don't like and find kind of creepy but am forced, through first-hand experience, to concede his brilliance and igniting small children's sensibilities), but this is a book I have to recommend. The sing-song quality of the verses, coupled with the infectious, repetitive chorus, is simply addictive to a small child. And if you get the audio disc of Raffi himself singing it, the dynamic becomes even more explosive. There's also something about a cute little whale who lives in a fantastic universe where man and animal live together peacefully, but you're infant will mostly be interested in the tune.

Nowhere near as fashionable as it once was, the Bjorn felt pretty integral to key developments in my baby's interaction with the outside world. Once she figured out that the view from behind her (which was in front of me, as she was facing inward at the time) was so incredibly better, she refused to be inserted into the carrier facing inward. Floating into the world in front of her gave her a new perspective on outside environments and a real ability to interact with others. She has since grown nearly too large for the carrier, which is admittedly increasingly uncomfortable on the shoulders as your kids gets bigger, but this thing made for really good times.
