About this list:
I've listed some great bags with eco credentials as well as some of my favourite products from companies I admire. I am a huge fan of companies started on a love of craftsmanship, family & friends rather than as a pure business investment.

Nankeen Bags

Description
Nankeen bags are more than just plain tote bags. These gorgeous fair trade bags are made in China using traditional methods and colours. The beautiful prints are all in the traditional indigo & white colours - my favourite is the horse print on the Derby ($155)

Women's Classic 3/4 Sleeve by C&C California
First to recommend
Description
My favourite top ever (that's not of my own design!) is the C&C California Women's Classic 3/4 Sleeve. The company is California born & bred and although the top's not eco, they have just started to do tops in organic cotton, so let's hope they do my fave 3/4 sleeve one!

Centro Culottes in Linen
First to recommend
Description
The Centro Culottes from marissa v. are my top-selling clothing item! They are gorgeous, made in London of linen from Northern Ireland (I support local production). Linen production is a lot more ecological than cotton, and is also one of the few, if not only, fabric fibers grown in Western Europe now.

These colourful shoppers are made from recycled Cambodian rice bags, and also happen to be made by women who have been saved by the Cambodian Children's Fund.

Freitag Leland Bag
First to recommend
Description
The Freitag people have been making bags using recycled materials forever. They are made out of used truck tarps! They are all unique, and a bit dirty, which I think is so cool. My favourite shopper is the Leland, in a green/yellow print (also comes with a used car seat belt shoulder strap).

Description
How about instead of buying a bag, you instead make one out of that pile of plastic grocery bags you have stuffed in your kitchen cupboard?
