ive always had this problem with visualizing how certain period pieces would have been used correctly (ie my old 1980s dining set), and i really think this would help me to overcome my stupidness!

this would be great to have in the car (not that you would want to keep it there though) just in case you happen to stop by an antique store and want to know more about what you're looking at. and even if you never pick it up, it's one of those books that looks awesome just sitting around.

Another fabulous book by one of my favorite design publishers, Assouline. This edition cavorts through past editions of Paper City and tucks intriguing souvenirs into its pocket to share with the reader. Lovely.

i'm on of those people who think of lighting as an afterthought. i know it's wrong and i would love to change- i just cant seem to get my mind around it. i really think this would help me not see lights as just lights, but as actual pieces themselves.

ive always loved decorating my dorm rooms and apts back in my college days... hot pink boas on the walls, giant ducktape murals, inflatable sheep (yeah... my ex got me odd presents... always fun to explain)... anyway, ive never been able to pull off this look again since i got out of college and this allows me to live vicariously (sp) through everyone who can still do it!
