armagnac angelim hardwood flooring
First to recommend
Description
The new wood floors in the kitchen will new and dark. To practice sustainability, I am keeping my existing Oak floors and staining them a dark chocolate, like the new kitchen floors. The dark colors will hide the non-matching wood and look beautiful. BR111 is a great company, producing extremely high end flooring. They also practice good environmental manufacturing, sourcing only harvested wood to protect the rain forest.

Blanco Blancoprecision Single Bowl 19"x32" Undermount Sink-512-747
First to recommend
Description
A simple rectangular stainless kitchen sink was darn difficult to find. No rounded corners. No extra fancy marble face. I think Blanco may be the only manufacturer to offer this style. I chose this one because of the extra depth. Meaning, three days worth of dishes will stay discreet.

I'm taking the "whip them into shape" literally. Managing contractors, electricians, tilers? Here is an item to get before you hit the scotch.

samsung fridge

Description
I'm limited by the width of my fridge, less than 36" wide. Samsung was the only reputable residential fridge maker offering more compact-sized units. It has all the fancy schmansy add-ons, including a beeper alarm when a door is left open. I originally planned a sub-zero, until three different owners convinced me otherwise. The Vikings are huge in size. So Samsung it is.

miele dishwasher

Description
Miele is one company executing form + function well. Uber strength washing, but incredibly quiet. Minimal stainless steel front with hidden control panel at top. It is nicely sized as well, so it doesn't stand out like awkward machinery.

pegasus kitchen faucet
First to recommend
Description
This one is nice, but a bit more polished than the original restaurant one I had intended to use. I love using real industrial hardware, but they're not made for home use and tend to be a bit awkward. Luckily, Pegasus designed one that looks like the restaurant faucet, but works for home kitchens. I think this is a lovely substitution. Beautiful lines.

Yes, shake your head at this. Of course my wallplates have to match the appliances. Stainless wallplates are inexpensive, but they add tremendous value to the look of your kitchen.

rösle utility bars + hooks
First to recommend
Description
I love my rosle system so much, I actually made the architect design the cabinetry around this hanging bar unit. I have enough to install across one entire wall, and the tools to go with it. Rosle manufactures the best stainless steel kitchen tools you will find in the market. German-made with exceptional details. High-grade stainless steel (18/10). Almost indestructable. Well-designed and very attractive.
