About this list:

As a mom who tends to be a little picky -- okay, a lot picky -- I'm a fan of sharing my hard-earned finds with like-minded parents. This list pertains to those items I sought out and now use, happily, on a regular basis.

sammo :: 5 - The Office TV Show - Dunder Mifflin Lunch Bags

2 people recommended this item

Description

Sack lunches are already a good thing on their own. Lump in the Dunder Mifflin logo, with the "Employee of the Month" header above it, and you'll enjoy your meal in a way that would not have been possible without the addition of this special, uh, sack.

The Office: Michael Scott's Fun Run T-Shirt

First to recommend

Description

Sure, yes, I'm an established fan of The Office. But this is really, truly, hands-down my favorite of all the gear available out there for the show. Because it's so super-almost-authentic. (Beyond its being over-the-top.) I've seen this shirt's real-life twin on a thousand thrift-store racks.

Granted, the real ones are in possession of slightly more brevity than seen here.

The Country Cat Dinner House and Bar - Portland, OR

2 people recommended this item

Description

The Country Cat houses my most-adored wintry cocktail; the Hot Apple Pie. I mean to find out what it's mixed with everytime I go, but once I'm inhaling it, I only think to be mesmerized by its delicious flavors.

The Cat isn't just a grand joint for a cocktail; it boasts a varied, clever menu, and one that isn't too costly, which, in these times, is pretty darned attractive.

krisblues :: Save The Polar Bear

First to recommend

Description

This print would sit beautifully alongside the Dan-ah Kim print of the (pirate) ships passing in the night in my son's room. It's gracious, clever and adorable. Perfect for kids' decor, or anywhere, really. If I didn't have a toddler, I'd place it above my bed, for good dream-inspiration.

J Crew :: Faded-Chambray Seaside Pant

First to recommend

Description

Just looking at these makes me feel the hint of spring that the air is currently missing (given how cold it is today). I want to jaunt straight off to the beach and wander around eating saltwater taffy in these. (They'd look great with the Anthropologie curly-cue sweater I've linked to, with a bright poppy-colored t-shirt layered beneath, and some warm, sturdy-heeled cognac-leather boots.)

30 Rock: The NBC Kenneth Classic Page Uniform T-shirt

First to recommend

Description

Go ahead. Call me out. I r FANGIRL NUMERO UNO. Gigantic puffy-foam finger. Hat. Bobble-head. T-shirt. Some days, I love Tina Fey more. Other days, 30 Rock wins out. My already intense nerdery is inspired to ever-nerdier heights by Tina Fey's awesomely super-deluxe show that is an homage to nerdy girls everywhere. Lord bless you, Tina.

Kenneth's fierce love for his classic-page uniform is winning in its super-dorkdom. Fine by me. I love this shirt (as I do all uniform-y t-shirts). Gimme.

necessityisthemother :: The Polka Dot Changling Pinafore

First to recommend

Description

J'adour this pinafore. Pardon the rhyme, but I simply couldn't help myself.

The small-print textile and smocking on the skirt are wonderful, as is the single, large, dark button nestled sweetly at the bustline's center. The square neck is one of the most flattering, and this darling item would work easily as well for an evening event as it would a kitchen cover-up. Even the farmer's market on a brisk Sunday morning would be a little more madcap in such an adorable garment layered over a snuggly thermal.

Curl & Twirl Sweater - Anthropologie

First to recommend

Description

Snow. The beach in wintertime. A wintry trek through frost-filigreed pines. French-vanilla ice cream in an antique milk-glass bowl.

This sweater would transition beautifully from very-early spring, over a long-sleeve tee, to warm pre-summer, sans layers.

Decadent.

Description

The vintage button used for this piece utilizes some of what's best about pretty things: filigree, subtle color-contrast, and starbursts. Gorgeous.

imogeneANDannie :: Sterling Gem Necklace

First to recommend

Description

imogeneANDannie's pieces remind me of a physical extension of math rock. They're striking and thoughtful and lovely, all at once. I especially dig that they'll give you the chance to make the piece your own in allowing you to personally select the gems that will end up on your necklace. Fabulous.
