About this list:
As a mom who tends to be a little picky -- okay, a lot picky -- I'm a fan of sharing my hard-earned finds with like-minded parents. This list pertains to those items I sought out and now use, happily, on a regular basis.
This is:
Baby Bee Buttermilk Soap - Burt's Bees
First to recommend
Description
My little boy's skin is sensitive enough that we have to really monitor his application of soaps and lotions to prevent rashes. Burt's Bees soap has been a mainstay in our bathroom since he was wee. It's fragrant, but mildly so, which means it never grows tiresome or cloying. (I've been known to sneak a little when I'm low on my own bland sensitive-skin glycerine bar, in fact. With no repercussions, other than soft, lightly-scented skin. Sweet.)

Giulia Media Credenza, Walnut - Design Within Reach
First to recommend
Description
While I'm busily furnishing my dream dining room, I might as well lump this gorgeous piece into the mix. I really, really want to live in a DWR floor room, is god's truth, but because I don't think they'd let me, I'll have to settle for drooling all over their website items. Love this sideboard. The grain, evocative of water, pulls me in like a freaking magnet. Design surprise: brass footing. Unexpected. Great touch.

Nelson Saucer Pendant - Medium - Design Within Reach
First to recommend
Description
One day, the Nelson Saucer Pendant will be mine. And it will suspend beautifully over my salvaged mid century teak dining table, and there will be music. Soft. And scented flowers. And someone else cooking.

Star Ling 'Suarez' Wedge Sandal - Star Ling
First to recommend
Description
Delicious. I have a weakness for wedges, the wooden ones, the kind that serve up serious altitude (in this case, 4 1/4 inches + another 1 1/4 inch for the sole. Nice). I love the quasi-bondage-y straps these shoes feature, too. A little hardcore, a little sassy with that open toe, a whole lot awesome.

Pacifica Hoodie

Description
While my age may provide the edict that I ought to no longer dress like this, my taste belies my age. The adorable hoodie featured here, by Free People, is officially on my wish list for spring. Golly, but it's cute.

edithweezie :: Lily Necklace
First to recommend
Description
This necklace is stunning. I want it. I -- that's all. I just really, really want it. What a terribly blah review of an item. It had me at hellooo, gorgeous. (I already own a pair of divinely lovely ear-jewels made by this wonderfully talented designer; I'm thinking it's high-time to add to the collection. Don't you?)

momomatic :: Cool Water Vintage Lucite Bead and Antiqued Brass Earrings
First to recommend
Description
A lovely woman in her own right, Mom-o-matic creates unbearably lovely things. These earrings make my throat hurt with their floaty blue-haze luminescence. I hope she never, ever stops making pretty jewels. (Oh, and they're eco-friendly, 'cause she sources most of her gems from vintage button collections and the like. Radical.)

evelynfields :: 1 Reusable Le Petit Sandwich Bag
First to recommend
Description
Having already purchased this item means I can speak from high atop the platform of insider-wisdom; these little unbleached-cotton velcro-close handmade bags rule. They're feel-good eco-conscious-y, and they work beautifully. Plus? Cute as can be. Form + function! Can't beat that.
(Oh, and the lady who makes/sells them is polite and lovely to buy from. Bonus.)

The Office: The Dwight Workshirt T-shirt

Description
As a rabid fan of the American version of the television series, The Office, created by one of the entertainment industry's current superior minds, Ricky Gervais, I have sworn my eternal allegiance to Dwight Schrute (played by the ever-scintillating Rainn Wilson). This t-shirt lends credence to my Dwight-Schrute-love. (But sometimes I only wear it indoors, so as to avoid the attention it draws. As well as the drool.)
