About this list:
As a mom who tends to be a little picky -- okay, a lot picky -- I'm a fan of sharing my hard-earned finds with like-minded parents. This list pertains to those items I sought out and now use, happily, on a regular basis.

Nikon USA: D40 Kit

Description
This camera takes amazing pictures. And it is a wonderful tool for both the amateur and the professional photographer. (Although if you are more on the professional end of the spectrum you might want to consider upgrading to the D40X.) Now that I own one of my own, I am no longer embarrassed to share my work with family and friends. I have even been inspired to create my own photo blog since I bought this little powerhouse.

Imse Vimse USA Cloth Diapers

Let's see: they're organic-cotton, super-soft, super-thick, adorable underpants to be used for the purpose of potty-training, in lieu of pull-ups that keep your child dependent on the vile disposable-diaper industry (and all of its attendant fecal-matter-into-water-and-air-that-we-use foulness).
You do the math.

The Best One Size Cloth Diapers

Description
The perfect replacement for what my Mom refers to as rubber pants. These breathable vinyl underwear covers make potty-training just that much more feasible, in an age when kids aren't getting out of disposable diapers until they're sometimes as old as sixty, yes, SIXTY months (that's 5 years of age for the month-illiterate).
I'm so grateful to these people for creating this garment I could weep. I have wept. It's official. I'm in love.

It's mostly their sweaters that keep me coming back for more. Every fall, I start salivating anew at the prospect of Free People sweater-liciousness. And they never let me down. This season, and this particular, super-fun take on fairisle x henley coziness, is no exception. <3

The Seychelles footwear line always makes my heart thump a wee bit harder. I would move into the factory of this company if I could, just to be near the loveliness.

Yes, I am a fan of recycling and re-using, as much as possible. But sometimes things require replacement, and I'm completely smitten with this faucet. I may find myself getting up at strange hours of the night to fetch a drink of water just so I can ogle it more often. Pretty. Almost huggable.

petrie sofa

Description
This couch has fully lived up to its appearance during its year + residence in our home. Many, many unavoidable naps have taken place there due to extreme comfort. It has a lovely, wide bench, with firm-yet-cozy cushions. The rear cushions are removable, so it could easily perform as a bed if necessary. I continue to be thrilled that we chose this quality piece of furniture (crafted entirely in the US, by a small, family company in West Virginia with whom Crate and Barrel does business). Crate and Barrel's Petrie Sofa for the win.

Colored Candela Lights

Description
My husband pooh-poohed this purchase, which I made while still pregnant with our son. However, once the baby was out and the sleepless-night-cycle had begun, we both discovered just what was so DIVINE about these little, glowing wonders. The light is simple to use, it glows softly so as to not cause tiny baby lids to pop open in shock, and they're rechargeable. Needless to say, my husband has since begged forgiveness for his rash initial negative stance on the beautiful candelas. I'm considering the offer.

Description
Tantrums might just as well be considered a form of exercise; after all, they seem to require an exhausting amount of energy.
