Red: Hi-Fi Audio Helmet

Description
I will admit, I still tend to be one of the "Cool Kids" that doesn't wear a helmet when riding. There are those times when minor concussions came into my life that I wish I had been wearing one. After the last minor concussion, I decided to pick up a helmet for the days I was going to be riding in the parks. The Hi-Fi Audio Helmet by Red works excellent for myself. The helmet has headphones so you can still ride and get that perfect flow or pick me up song when you need it. Wear a dumb, don't be helmet... Wait, that should be Wear a helmet, don't be dumb.
From Red:
*DJ styled headphones compatible with an ipod, MD, CD or tape player *Ultra light weight in-molded plycarbonate shell *Quick clip earpads* Zip clip ratcheting chin buckle.

Burton Snowboards: Twin

Description
The other day, my GF and I stopped at the Burton store in Manhattan. I spoke to Russell and learned a great deal about the Twin. In a previous post on ThisNext, I drooled over the Baron ES, which I still fancy very much. After talking to Russell, I learned that with now being on the East Coast, I would have more fun riding the Twin 161 than I would the Baron ES. So now, the Twin has replaced the Baron ES on the top of my list of new ride purchases for the new year. Below is the description from the Burton site. Oh, and let me not forget, the Twin has the most amazing graphics that I have ever seen on a board. Not to mention, it has my Lucky 13. Hhhmmm, this must be a sign.
A freestyle dream come true:
A true twin with a mid-wide waist width, the new Twin lives for hitting kickers, rails and transitions. Mitch Reed's deck of choice, the Twin is as confident charging a bulletproof pipe as it is looking down a frontside through the kink. Ante up with our new Park FlyII core and ultra-lightweight Pro-Tip construction for reduced swing weight and ridiculous spinning power.

Tiger Balm Extra Strength Pain Relieving Ointment
First to recommend
Description
I originally used Tiger Balm only during snowboarding season, now that I have helped ThisNext and worked their booth at DigitalLife, I am using it again. Tiger Balm is excellent for relieving sore and tired muscles. I haven't found a better product to use.
On a serious note... Give those "Booth Babes" or "Booth Bunnies" some credit! It is actually pretty damn hard to work a booth for nine hours a day, standing, talking and smiling the whole time. Not only should Tiger Balm be handed out to ever Booth Bunny, they should also include aspirin, a shot glass and a bottle of good ole "Gentlemen Jack"!!!

Kork Insoles

Description
Superfeet have been in my snowboard boots for as long as I can remember. I originally started out with the basic Superfeet that you trim to fit your feet. I then graduated to the Kork version. The Kork version of Superfeet are custom made to fit each one of your feet. Superfeet Kork's provide ultimate support and also help with keeping your edge and transferring power.
Superfeet can also be used for all types of shoes; casual, running, dress and even women's high heels.

Snow Sense: A Guide to Evaluating Snow Avalanche Hazard

Description
When I am "out of bounds", I normally rely on others as I don't have the necessary tools. I actually read this book just to make sure I knew what to do if/when crisis time happened. If you are going to put yourself out there and "do the deed", take the time to at least read this book if you aren't going to do the training.
Avalanche training or at least basic knowledge of how to handle yourself in an avalanche is a must for those of us that break off the monitored runs and have our own fun.

Aaaaarrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!!! I want this board!!!
I wear size 13 boots and have in the past struggled to find a board that was light, responsive and had a good amount of pop for my ski boot size feet. Burton has now built the board of my crazy little snow frolicking dreams, the Baron ES!!! At this time, I can't give you a great user recommendation for the board since I haven't ridden it yet, but I can tell you Burton has been putting out top notch quality products for a very long time. So I am just going to put some info from the Burton site below.
"Precious, it's so precious..."
From the Burton Site:
Ultimate wide board performance — it doesn’t get any lighter weight than this. Now supercharged with Vaporskin™, the Baron ES™ is the lightest weight, highest performance wide board in existence. With the explosive pop and weight savings of the Carbon I-Beam™, the accelerated speed of WFO and the most advanced edge technology, you get every advantage possible. Ride faster, ollie higher, dissect every vertical foot — toe drag is no longer a valid excuse.

Heavenly Mountain Resort
First to recommend
Description
My second favorite mountain. Heavenly has the best tree riding I have ever experienced! Powder days are amazing in Heavenly, kinda like riding fluffy little clouds. The best tree riding on the California side in the "Powder Bowl Woods" and on the Nevada side, "Nevada Woods". I haven't spent much time in the parks as I have always had a blast just free riding at Heavenly.
A great mountain and also, where else can you go riding or skiing during the day, then bounce on over to the Nevada side of things and gamble a little bit.
Ohh Ohhh, and let me not forget to tell you about the best damn sushi bar in Tahoe. If you are there and you want to eat as much grubingly delicious sushi as you possibly can, go to the "Waterwheel". Last time I was in Tahoe, they had to roll both myself and my best friend out of there!

With opening day right around the corner, Mammoth is the place to be this winter. With tons of awesome terrain, great parks jam backed with jumps and rails and huge halfpipes, what's not to love? Pick yourself up a session pass so you can ride that powder all winter long! (via Mammoth Mountain)

Oakley: Storm One Piece (Outerwear)
First to recommend
Description
Any of you that notice, I don't have any outerwear for the Pow Pow list. That is because I cannot find any store front that pushes "DubBrand All Weather Gear". So a friend of mine that does PR for Oakley reminded me that Oakley does outerwear.
I have been looking for a one piece for snowboarding. Something about this Oakley one is pretty damn sick. Just think, with this thing, if you were to jump the lift to get those oh so precious freshies, when ski patrol came looking for you, you could just hide out in the trees and wait for them to pass.

Heat Factory (Heat Packets)
First to recommend
Description
Heat Factory products are an awesome accessory for all snow sports. There are times when it is just down right nasty cold and a little warmth (apart from your arm pits or crotch) is welcomed. I normally have at least two packs of the hand and sole warmers in my pack if we are going out of bounds or keep a pack of each in my jacket for those days when a thermometer is wearing a bear skin coat.
I have used the hand warmers, but the greatest use I have seen for these nifty little packets is for women. Because most women have poorer blood circulation in their legs, their legs get tired faster and often start to cramp. This happens in the bottom of the foot and up along the calf muscles. When the toe warmers or even better the sole warmers are used, it stops the aching and cramping, at least that is what the fine little chickadees that I ride with say.
