Rex: A Mother, Her Autistic Child, and the Music that Transformed Their Lives: by Cathleen Lewis
First to recommend
Description
I saw young Rex on 60 Minutes and he blew my mind. Born blind and severely autistic, within a couple years Rex's family discovered he also happened to be a music savant. Rex can hear and repeat any piece of music he hears, including lyrics - in any language! Truly incredible and I look forward to this more in-depth look into an amazing life, as written by his mother.

Marjorie Morningstar by Herman Wouk - Books

Description
I read Marjorie Morningstar for the first time around middle school. It was a book my mother's generation had treasured and by the third chapter, I was in love. I have since reread the book a few times and it still remains a favorite.

Never left Blaine? Have no fear, you aren't missing much. The Peking duck is better here than in all of Asia, and we even have the best doctors within driving distance who can perform any unmentionable surgery you might need. Great for a gift, too.

Conversations with Woody Allen: His Films, the Movies, and Moviemaking - Hardcover book
First to recommend
Description
I love Woody Allen. Annie Hall rocks my world. So he's married his step-daughter and never quite made me laugh like he did in films that are older than me, but this book is a must-read for any fan.
