I stayed in a Yurt in Hawaii, on Maui, in Hana, for five of the best days of my life. The yurt is one of society's best creations. Perfectly comfy yet not crowded (even though in Hana the shower was outside--and I mean OUTSIDE IN THE TREES--which was wonderful.... when's the last time you took a shower under palm fronds and watched water droplets sparkle like prisms?) The very best way to live in nature. I am seriously considering downsizing my life in suburbia and living in a yurt. It is a near-perfect experience for minimalists, people who hate cleaning, people who love intimacy and romance and who like things a wee bit rustic.

Reminds me of the bean bag chair I had in the 70s. It was yellow and either vinyl or plastic, and I thought it was groovy. I would curl up in my bean bag chair and read LORD OF THE RINGS and other *geeky* books for hours and hours. Then I would have to peeeeel myself off the bean bag chair that had molded to my body. This "sueded corduroy cush" looks like it would spare a kid who loves to read that peeeeeling process.
