Cuisinart also makes a mini-food processor, which you might wonder, why do you need it if you have the big one. Well, actually I do need it for small jobs like chopping garlic and onion or whipping up a quick batch of salad dressing. It's a handy gadget to have and I couldn't cook without it!

Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments
First to recommend
Description
My daughter gave me this gadget for Christmas and I thought I would never use it. I mean, I have so many gadgets already, why do I need another one? As it turns out, I did need it. This little tool is amazing. When I make spaghetti sauce I usually transfer the sauce to my Cuisinart food processor to make it smooth. It's very messy and time consuming. But not with the Smart Stick Hand blender, I just put it in the pan of sauce, turn it on, and it makes it smooth in a matter of minutes (I want to say, seconds, but you wouldn't believe me). I've also used it to blend homemade split pea soup. I'm hooked and can't imagine how I've gone all this time without one!
