About this list:

As I perused my kitchen recently, I realized there were many gadgets and utensils I use on a regular basis that I've come to rely on and frankly, would be lost if I didn't have them. So I'm making a list of essential basics every kitchen needs.

Description

I'm always printing out recipes from the Food Network and then, don't know where to put them. They get stuffed in cookbooks and I can't remember which cookbook I stuffed it in. Or I use them and food gets spilled all over the paper and the recipe gets ruined. But not any more! I found this insanely fabulous notebook that allows me to slip the recipe into a protective plastic sleeve and then the whole thing stands upright like a cookbook stand so I can see it! The rings that hold it together are big enough that I can add tons of plastic sleeves and I'll know where all my recipes are from now on! (via Delight Store)

The King of Toughened Glass Worktop Savers!

Description

The King of Toughened Glass Worktop Saver is one of those things that you just instantly love or you don't. I happen to love it! It sits on the kitchen counter looking like an abstract work of art, which it is in a way. Elvis' face is actually created from vegetables from eggplant hair to a snow pea collar! It's great for chopping, perfect as a trivet, fun as a serving platter, and even great for some kitschy kitchen decor! (via Delight Store)

Collapsible Strainer

First to recommend

Description

I've been noticing a trend in collapsible or fold up type kitchen ware. Is it because people don't have enough storage space or because they have so many kitchen gadgets, the collapsible, fold up concept is better suited for them? Either way, this strainer is intriguing to me and since strainers do take up a lot of real estate on my shelf, I may have to invest in one!

Breville 800CPXL Die-Cast Stainless-Steel Motorized Citrus Press

For me, having fresh squeezed organic orange juice every morning for breakfast would be fabulous but who has the time to make it? I certainly don't except on the weekends. But the Breville Citrus Press is so strong and powerful that even for the busiest schedule, there's time to squeeze out a glass or two in the morning. (via Outblush)
