They have a great visual style going - a little overdone on the info visualization - but great concepts - and throw interesting parties around the states. The stickers in the first issue are worth checking out ; ) (via notcot)

solar urban gear jacket
First to recommend
Description
The first solar equipped jacket. I must admit, it's not the 'greatest looking' jacket on Earth, but it's a good first step. The jacket itself is pretty cool. Designed to hold all our urban necessities, you know, like our ipods, pda's, ear phones. I can see this being very useful for sports like cross-country skiing. Not available yet, but you can pre-order.

Description
Recycle and re-use are two of my favorite eco words. It's the best form of green living and the easiest one we can all contribute to. I love these coasters made from street signs! The graphics are great in pieces.

lucky bean in bamboo pot

Description
The new lucky bean finally makes it to retail. It is an uncommon plant that took forever to track down, and I'm happy to see it looking so nice at RedEnvelope. The bamboo pot is a bit a disconnect, but it's nice and masculine, which makes this a great gift for him, as well as for her. I would give this for Father's Day, housewarming, thank you or just because. Very difficult to find elsewhere, so I wouldn't bother for now.

I love this... and wish I had it eight years ago when my first daughter arrived on the scene. It is a bit of a cliche for the man to get camo... but its a fab design idea, nontheless. (via Kristine)

cutthroat trout t-shirt (organic cotton)

Description
Wow, I'm really surprised to find a cutthroat trout graphic in Patagonia's fish t-shirt collection. They're not very common in the u.s. I've caught these, but had to go to British Columbia, in the wilderness (Oh, what fond memories). Cool.

Fridge Magnet Bottle-Opener

Description
Stop ruining your teeth because you can't find a bottle opener! This one sticks to the fridge so you'll never have to go looking for it. Nor will you have to nail it into your wall and hope it sticks. This works magically, and makes drinking your beer that much easier. Mmmm. Heineken...

Love my Screwpull. Can't do with another anymore. It's sooo easy to use. I do have one complaint though... It's big, so a bit clumpsy to store easily.

These pens are good "oh-oh, what do I get" gift solutions. It's a pen, which is a safe gift. It's also a gadget, which makes the gift interesting. The Swiss Army name is reputable and prestigious enough to avoid being high-browed at.

Description
Holy cow! This is the best purchase I’ve made in 2006! If you do not have one, you must run out and get one now! I can’t believe it took me THIS long to discover it. Thanks to ThisNext and the 32 recommenders! (I knew about this, but after reading the recommendations, I bought one.) My house has never been so dust-tree. My floors never this clean. My allergies have improved dramatically. My cleaning lady thanks ThisNext too.
I purchased the model iRobot 4210, which seemed the most current and best model. Amazon’s pricing was the most competitive. Use “ClearOut” promotion code to get $25 off. The negative customer feedback on Amazon were mostly about Roomba’s customer service and the potential one-year lifespan. (Sounds like it has the same issues as the iPod. Battery life seems a tad weak.) (via SoCalMom)
