This is one of those bags that just gets better with age. In fact, it doesn't even look proper until you've abused it for a couple of years. I've had mine for about 10 years now, and have cleaned and re-waxed the canvas only once. It now has a beautiful, rustic patina that simply can't be faked, and looks like a milion (hard-earned) bucks. It has been a college bookbag, laptop bag, briefcase, carry-on, and field bag - and has performed admirably in all roles. Like most good stuff, Filson gear is not inexpensive - but everything the company produces is heirloom-quality.
