Burberry London Classic Trench Coat
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
Every gentleman needs a proper trench coat. Just in case. Unlike the tommy gun toting thugs who appropriated its image, the trench coat is a classic part of the English dandies attire. With its bold double-breasted cut to the fashionable waist belt (always tied with a quick, secure fold, not a knot), this is the one Burberry item every man should have, if they can afford it.
Classic styling and with Burberry check tucked discreetly under the collar. Make your man a gentleman this valentines day! It does help if you look like a slightly disaffected model though.

Men's Underwear: Boxers, Briefs, Boxer-Briefs. T-Shirts & More
First to recommend
Description
Have you ever seen a man shop for underwear? Sometimes, we're forced to go to stores where they sell unmentionables for both sexes (look, we can't choose where we live sometimes!!). Awkward for a proper Victorian Gentleman, eh?
Well, Hisroom.com is to the rescue! They carry a wide array of style and brands, from low-end to royalty-end. Shipping is fast, usually free, and everything comes packaged in nice blue gift paper. Can't go wrong here!
Unless you choose the thong - that might be wrong.

Samsonite Mini Flat Umbrella
First to recommend
Description
While better known for their often plain luggage, Samsonite also makes umbrellas. The Mini Flat is the perfect size to stow in your backpack or messenger bag. Automatic open and close button makes use a breeze. With a 42' arc, it has nice room for one, and enough for two in a pinch. Best of all is the flat, rectangular shape - so much more stylish than the traditional circle, don't you think?
Available in standard black, as well as khaki, hunter green and red.

Hugo Boss - Gaynor Shoes
First to recommend
Description
The proper gentleman requires a proper pair of dress shoes. Hugo Boss carries the day with these exquisitely traditional, elegant dress shoes. These shoes go with any suit or type of formal wear.
I like the simple shape and the number of eyelets for the laces, it gives it a very old-world yet classy look.
Made out of fine leather in Italy.

Aspinal Men's leather gloves
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
A proper gentleman needs a proper pair of leather gloves. Aspinal of London, one of those established English firms, makes right-ho leather products of the finest distinction.
The classic pattern for dress gloves is with ruffled edges as shown here, and with the interior lined in silk. However, I would choose Cashmere (sorry tradition) for the superior warmth.
Whatever you choose, they're bound to look classically stylish. You can apply a little leather waterproofing treatment to make them winter ready, but your valet should do the snow clearing now, shouldn't he?
The traditional casual men's leather glove is without ruffled edges and with a few leather stripes going down the middle. They look pretty similar.
Why I know these things, the good lord only knows.
If you'd like a pair of gloves like these but aren't particularly fond of the Dollar to Pound Sterling rate, you can get very good gloves that are almost identical here:

Mezlan Belts
First to recommend
Description
Handmade in Spain from the finest leathers, Mezlan is the name to go to when looking for an elegant, tasteful, or even a little sporty-casual belt.
They are widely available online in the US. They're a bit pricey, but totally worth it. They last for years (they will NOT fall apart) and come in beautiful designs and materials such as lizard, suede, ostrich and more. A Gentlemen's friend.

Braun Büffel Men's Wallets
First to recommend
Description
Braun Büffel of Germany are makers of high quality and super functional wallets. Every wallet is tastefully designed and you can see that thought went into the features. They also sport nice little touches like a silver placard Bull on the front and fabric lined interiors with the company name.
I have a small wallet from them that almost qualifies for front-pocket status. It has an ID window and 4 card slots, a coin pouch, 2 billfold compartments and room for a couple of card under the regular card slots. It carries everything I need and is quite classy. Perfect for a wallet traditionalist.
For some reason, they aren't officially sold in the USA. They are easy to get in Europe, and you can find quite a selection online as well - though you may have to have it shipped from overseas.

Jacques Etoile - Metropolis Applique
First to recommend
Description
I like this look. It has a 50's, classic old-school texture, but with a bit of extra style. Efficiently elegant, I would call it.
It's 38 mm in diameter and utilizes an extremely rare Unitas 6300 hand-wound movement. Sapphire crystal and leather band. Goes for $1,870.

Description
Classic rectangular cufflink shape with a dash of style in the form of an inlaid enamel rainbow. In complimentary, snazzy but not over the top colors, of course :)

Silver Plated Collar Stays
First to recommend
Description
I got this as a gift, and it actually came quite nicely wrapped and in a nice little box with a ribbon (from the seller, not the gift-giver.)
Every man needs collar stays for dress shirts (which, if they are good ones, should take them.) If you don't use stays, you could end up with an upturned collar tip (the horror!) These are quite nice looking, sturdy, and come in assorted sizes in the box.
Seem to be available only by this seller on eBay, but they seem quite reputable.
