Who thought crosswords were so interesting. This is a really entertaining documentary, surprisingly. I really loved the craftsmanship and skill that goes into constructing a great crossword. "nine letter word for extraordinarily good, begins with f"! (via ProductWiki)

Even city-dwellers must have noticed that the summers are getting hotter, and the winters shorter. Al Gore explains why in this accessible documentary. He keeps the tone upbeat and positive - because there's still time if we act now.

Planet Earth - The Complete BBC Series (narrated by David Attenborough)
19 people recommended this item
Description
Even on Standard Definition and without David Attenborough's narration, this series, simply put, is incredible. With that said, for the full impact, forget SD and Sigourney and do it right with Blu-ray plus you win eco-points from the suspiciously efficient packaging with 5 discs in what typically houses ONE FREAKIN' DVD.
The footage is striking and has eerily simulated first hand experience. At any moment you could fall out of the helicopter and be ambushed by a herd of antelope! Its perfectly frightening and a great reminder of how wonderful and vast out planet really is.
GET ON THIS and GET ON THIS FOR GIFTING. Great for hippy-stoners and families alike!

The Aristocrats

Description
The secret life of stand-up comedians. It's a backstage tradition to tell one another this joke, attempting to outdo each other in raunchiness and gross-out factor. Several of the well-known comedians who have a career in movies wisely decline to tell it on film - that's how raunchy it is. If you're offended by foul language, don't even think of renting this DVD.

To this day, I can't go into my basement to do laundry without picturing bloody hands and thinking about children facing the wall. That part alone scared the hell out of me.
