Mullein
First to recommend
Description
Mullein was one of many herbs that my great-grandfather introduced to my grandmother and other children on nature hikes through the mountains. She taught me that it was a natural curative for coughs and other respiratory ailments. I tried it out on myself and roomates in college with amazing success. I have found this fuzzy herb to be an underrated marvel. Brewed into a tea this stuff has no modern equal, as far as I am concerned. Now it will have a place in my medicinal garden. (via herbs.com)

Brita Deluxe Pitcher
10 people recommended this item
Description
I love my Brita Pitcher. First, you get free water all the time. It tastes good, and you're not wasting all that plastic on single-use plastic bottles. I also like how you can fill it up and bring it with you - I often bring it with me outside on the patio so I can fill up with reading or relaxing. Great buy and ideal for going green in your house!

Tea Tree Oil Hand Wash - The Body Shop
First to recommend
Description
I'd had Softsoap on my sink as an "after the fact" hand wash in my bathroom for months. I haven't had any complaints. (Maybe my guests haven't been washing their hands much.) However, when I have used it, I come away with the skin on my hands feeling not so good. I would be more specific, but I can't quite find the appropriate word to describe the unpleasantness. Not only that, but I wanted something that was either antiseptic or anti-bacterial. A couple of weeks ago, I read a recommendation on ThisNext for Tea Tree Oil Hand Wash from the Body Shop. I knew Tea Tree Oil to be a natural antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal. This hand wash also contains grapefruit seed extract, which is a natural deodorizer, skin cleanser, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and anti-fungal. It also contains honey for skin conditioning. All I know is that it leaves your hands feeling conditioned and clean. I'm tossing the Softsoap and writing a review to warn others. ;-) (via thebodyshop-usa.com)
