Having just spent the weekend with the offspring at a waterpark that also housed a mega-cool arcade, I'm all about fun and games this week. Specifically, air hockey? Why? Because I kick ass at it.

In browsing for tables to put on my wish list for Santa, I came across this beauty. While it doesn't have my boy Jimmy Johnson on it, it does have everything else you need for a good time. Except me of course.

Description

I have a closet in my front hall with a big box.

I was tempted to let that sentence stand alone as the full description just to add some mystery to the post but figured I'd be the only one entertained. So here's the rest:

In that box is a hodgepodge of random stuff I grab when it's on clearance. It's where I run when I suddenly realize I have to be at a party in an hour and not only "don't have a thing to wear" but worse, "didn't get a thing for the hostess."

So I grab a bottle of wine (that's one thing I ALWAYS have in the house ; )~ ) and a tschotske like this, nabbed on clearance just like the one above, and Voila! The mundane become clever and- more importantly- turns "thoughtless" into "thoughtful." My bottle suddenly becomes distinguished by its random flare- a nifty dial-a-drink bar compass dangling from a ribbon I scalped from the Christmas present shrapnel left under the tree by the kids. Kissy kissy to me for my cleverness....

You might not be putting "air defense system" on your list to Santa this year but perhaps you know of someone who is? If so, turn towards Russia and point. Because that's where you'll find these khaki green beauties.

Meant to fool surface-to-air missiles by resembling the 'real deal,' the S-300MPU's tanks are like the biggest, most bloated balloon animal you've ever seen a clown make. Only bigger. And more bloated.

Kind of a neat idea. Not sure if I'd want my life depending upon it...
