Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 7
First to recommend
Description
When you think HTiB (Home theatre in a Box), you generally think budget and cost effectiveness. Well, B&O completely throws that idea out of the window.
The BeoVision 7 includes a 40" HDTV, 7.1 channel surround sound speakers, and amplifiers. The TV rests on a motorized stand that will raise and lower the TV to give you the right viewing angle.
Cost? $13.5K, but it still won't bring you a cocktail as you sit down to watch tv

Samsung 70" LCD TV

Description
50" TV's aren't cutting it for you? How about a 70" full HD LCD TV? Samsung's new big boy has a new feature called Local Dimming Technology that will turn off blacklighting in select areas when necessary to make blacks really black. Toss in a ridiculous 500000:1 contrast ratio and you've got yourself a real winner here.
The backlighting is so efficient that it also cuts down on power consumption by 50%, making this TV "environmentally friendly"
Does not include model.

The Sony BRAVIA THEATRE DAV-X10
First to recommend
Description
Logic suggests that a surround sound speaker system includes speakers that "surround" you. Not so with Sony's DAV-X10. Sony uses TWO speakers, a bunch of sound delay and dispersion technology, to do with two speakers what would usually take five. If you've got a grand to spare, give these suckers a try.
