About this list:

As it's the dawn of the Year of the Pig, I think it's only appropriate to celebrate our porcine pal in the way I know best: by eating him.

Description

Kylie Kwong is the bomb. She's got the accessibility of Nigella Lawson, the sophistication of Martha Stewart and her own exotic appeal. She makes Chinese fare easy and understandable even for culinarily clueless guailo like me.

Description

This is a more traditional configuration of a wok, and I like that it has a lid for, er, putting out fires.

Zojirushi Rice Cooker

12 people recommended this item

Description

Great! A new audience for me to rave about the wonders of the neuro fuzzy rice maker... everyone else is tired of hearing me go on and on and on about how wonderful it is. Yes, it's the top of the line and it is worth it. It makes perfect rice, you can set it to go in the morning and have it ready when you wake up, or keep it warm for hours if your family eats in shifts... I bought a rice cooker cook book to go with the cooker. Who knew you could cook so many things in a rice cooker other than just plain old white rice????? And it sings to you when it's done!!!

I could go on and on about it :>

I'm not sure how I feel about putting pork in a cat container, but I suppose it's better than the other way around.

A quality wok is imperative in the kitchen. You don't have to invest in an All-Clad, but if you can, why wouldn't you?

Heritage Foods Pork

Description

Heritage Farms finds old breeds of pigs that have been bred out because of their fat content. I use whatever cuts they have available and make menu decisions based on that.
