Starving Artist Chic - Fashion on a dime! - a list by SamHope

About this list:

When I first got out of school I had no money and student loans coming out of my ---. Well, I moved into a small little apartment, and while my roommate had her parents buy her a matching bedroom set and matching living room set I set up my room with an air mattress and my packing boxes duct-taped together to form clothes shelves and book shelves and an upside down box to use as a desk - thus the birth of Starving Artist Chic!

Qualifications:

I live it.

MUDD Stretch Rhinestone Denim

First to recommend

Description

So your neighbor's MUDD jeans cost $60 from a Department store... you can just let her go on thinking that yours cost as much when you really paid a QUARTER of the price. That's $15 for those who don't do math.

Description

Bling for almost nothing! I love the uneven spacing of the rhinestones and how this makes a classy statement but isn't over done. And who can beat $12?

For less than $20 you need a blouse that you can wear to interviews, that internship and for lunch with your grandma... maybe if she thinks you're trying to be more serious she'll agree to lend you some money?

How cute... this knit dress is topped with a grosgrain bow tied at front. After you go for a day of Yachting with F. Scott you can go out for a drink downtown.

Fashion is really all in the accessories. Just a few basic pieces can really pop if you accompany it with the right trendy finds. Check out this headband that's sure to make a statement (for cheap) and no one will be the wiser.

Use this blazer for interviews over slacks or a skirt - so you can get a better paying job so you can spend more than $15 on your next jacket. And then pair it with jeans when you go out to celebrate your new job!

Bold accents can really add to, or cover up a less than expensive outfit. Razzle Dazzle 'em, and you can get away with anything.
