Monster Skin Rug

Description

My what big teeth you have!

An animal skin rug is such an unsubtle way to remind visitors (and oneself) of your prowess. In this case- your shopping prowess.

I have a series of baby pictures of me rolling around on a bearskin rug. I would love to reproduce them with my daughter on this one. I'll bet it is a lot softer, if just as scary.

The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales

2 people recommended this item

Description

Guaranteed to be entertaining and enlightening to adults and kids alike, The Stinky Cheese Man is a classic among fractured fairy-tales. These twisted re-tellings spoof all the stories you know so well. While most suitable for children in 1st grade and up, some of these stories are useful for parents wishing to counter act the Victorian ethos that permeates most of the tales made popular by the Grimm brothers and Disney & Co. In "The Princess and the Bowling ball" for example, the prince replaces the pea with the more obvious object once he finally meets a girl he likes. Great illustrations won this book the Caldecott

Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre -The Complete Collection Gift Set

3 people recommended this item

Description

Magical!

An all-star ensemble cast brings 26 fairy tales to life in Shelly Duvall's "Fairy Tale Theatre." Inspired casting (think PeeWee Herman as Pinnochio, Mick Jagger as the Emperor in "The Nightingale", Alan Arkin and Art Carney as the crooked tailors in "The Emperor's New Clothes) and considered retellings make these gems a great pick for kids 4-9 (although some might be a little scary for your littlest tikes). You might even enjoy watching them yourself more than five times. Plus, with 5 disks there's plenty of variety.
