Everything you need to survive a week on the Playa.

6in Releasable Cable Zip Tie
First to recommend
Description
I've only recently discovered the reusable zip ties. It has a little release tab you can push down to release the grip. Since Burning Man is about green this year, I suppose changing to these would be ideal. The other ties require cutting to remove. Waste of plastic.

Love the lunch jar for an adult lunchbox, bento. All the containers are very useful. (via sciencegeek)

Renetto Folding Beach Chair

Description
I didn't understand why my boyfriend had these chair all over the place. I first though, "Oh, how ghetto." Then we went to Burning Man and these came out... From everywhere. It's one of those "do not leave home without" items for Burning Man. It's really comfortable. Packs to a decent size. Best of all. It's cheap, so you don't have to worry how it would look at the end of the trip (covered by playa dust) (which is not cleanable.). (via Bijan)

Hot Jugz Sport Shower

You're thinking... "It's hot. It's the dessert. I don't need a warm shower." Aaahhh, trust me. You will be so stoked you brought this with you. (via pauladegatto)

Rear Bicycle Light

Description
Lights and reflectors - lots of them for your bike for night time riding. It's okay. Here iis one place where you can look like Las Vegas on steroids, and passerbyes will give you the thumbs up.

WHITE DISTILLED VINEGAR
First to recommend
Description
If you've been to Burning Man, you'll know how playa mud can change your flat shoes to platform shoes by the end of the day. You literally end up an inch taller because of the mud caking at the bottom of your feet. For some who dare to wear open-toe shoes... Oh, the mud in between the toes! Vinegar is the trick to getting playa dust off your feet (and shoes). At the end of the day, soak your feet in vinegar and water... The dust will dissolve.

CarGo Rack
First to recommend
Description
Not entirely a necessity, but if you can, get a rear bike rack. It will be very useful for you and your community. I had a rear rack, and in some ways, I was damned... I was the block ice carrier. Without a place to carry the ice (which is about the dimension of this rack), you would be out of luck... Doesn't fit in a backpack.
Besides, because you're basically in the dessert, the temperature can drop from hot to freezing in a matter of minutes. This is also where I bungee up my coat after sunset.

Pyramid Pro Bungie Cargo Net for Bicycle Racks
2 people recommended this item
Description
For $8, this will be worth $80 or $800 to you by the end of your trip. With this, you never have to worry about your coat getting caught in the rear tire, ice falling off the back or lost cargo. It's worth it, trust me.

Bike Basket

Description
I'm a bit of a storage fanatic... It's because I'm lazy. I don't want to have to ride back to camp in order to get my coat, or retrieve more water, or store my unwanted junk. This is different than the back rack because it allows you to store stuff without having to tie it down - like your hat or sunglasses or camera...

REI Hobitat 4 Tent
First to recommend
2 people recommended this item
Description
This tent is less expensive than the other one I recommended, and it works just as well. It has less gizmos than the other, such as no attic storage, skylights, and only one door. However, it has a feature that is better - it stands more upright, which means you can almost stand up straight in this tent (well, if you're small like me). Same strength, same waterproof material, almost the same ventilation level. $269 is not bad at all.
