Ground Stakes 18 in 0 Pk

Description
Your regular tent stakes will not hold your tent during a windstorm at Burning Man. 18" is probably the best, but difficult to find. REI sells 12" stakes, and those will probably work. If you can, purchase the 18". Losing your tent to a sand storm is no fun... Nope.

I couldn't find old-fashion goggles online to recommend, but I found these on ThisNext. Guess where it's from. Harry Potter collection on the Warner Brothers shop!!! What a riot! They're perfect for Burning Man! And only $12.95 because it's a toy. Works though!

Great lights for the campsite at Burning Man. They work well as markers so you can find your way home... Should be right before sunrise if you're enjoying your week. (via loft3)

Uses a single watch battery, this swarovski crystal glows for up to 60 hours. Hangs on a stainless choker. 60 hours... That's a lot of night time escapades, even by Burning Man standards.
At the playa, there's no street lamps. You can never have too much lighting on yourself or bike.

Battery Operated 6.5" LED Fluorescent Glow Sticks

Description
You can never have too many glow sticks at Burning Man. No, they're not for waving back and forth at a DJ while you're on the dance floor. (Though, I did witness "kids" doing this when Oakenfold and Tiesto spun at the 2005 Burning Man. My head was shaking. It's not a concert, folks!)
Anyhow, I clip these to my backpack, tape them on the spokes of my bike (which creates fancy spinning lights when you are riding), tie them to my tent stakes so people don't trip, and yes, even use them as ambient lighting if the night calls for it. They're very handy!
For a VERY funny video of how great glow sticks are, check out this video I've referenced. Seriously, it's excellent! (via First Person in HIstory of the World to Dance)
