If books like this had been written when I was a child I would have read more. J.K. Rowling is brilliant. The book is obviously meant for children, but it's a wonderful read for people of all ages as she doesn't talk down to her audience. I love how she weaves myth and alludes to classic novels in her stories. Her books are Imaginative and adventurous. Her characters are well rounded and interesting. I was engrossed from the first page.
