Matt Weidmann currently lives and works in the Port Los Angeles. His concentration is primarily on painting and printmaking. Consistently creating an eclectic array of paintings and prints Weidmann has created a unique visual style that sets him apart. He is influenced by among other things the figure, signage, architecture, landscapes, plant life, the brain and other artists. These influences are not always apparent or set in stone. Weidmann is continually pushing personal limits to create new and fresh images that encompass a broader range of elements. In his work he often avoids pre-determining where a painting is to go. Every painting is a journey and adventure wherein a story is created and or a mood is set. "Creating works of art is like playing chess, your continually thinking and making moves to better the opponent; the opponent being aesthetics".
