My sister got me these boots for Christmas and though I had to return them because I had to choose between these and pair of slightly heavier, flat heeled YSL boots, I loved them when I had them for those two days.

Wedge heel knee-high boots are wonderfully versatile footwear for travel, though you wouldn't think so because they're big and heavy. However, if you wear them on the plane, you save room in your luggage. They do double duty in the city for both pants and dresses because they're boots, and they have a heel! Apepazza's boot has a wedge heel, which gives you height when you're touring town with your 6'3 boy, but because it's a wedge, it's far more comfortable than balancing on a tiny stiletto.

I love the t-shirts and tank tops from James Perse because they're so super soft and stretchy, but not at all sheer. Both and black and white are good basics to take with you when you travel to layer under sweaters and jackets.

I never thought I'd surrender to the return of '80s leggings, but I have realized that for travel, black leggings are absolutely essential and have completely replaced the terrycloth/velour Juicy tracksuit as my flight uniform. Leggings are stretchy and comfortable for that cramped coach seat, and can do double duty once you get where you're going as "regular" clothing.
