Set of 24 Puffy Paint Pack

Description

Some of my best childhood arts and crafts memories involve puffy paint. There is so much pleasure in decorating anything and everything with this gooey paint mess, only to have it dry and peel off soon after. Still, Puff Paint rocked the '80s and I'm happy to see it at Toys 'R Us - some kids must still love it, too, even though there are no batteries or TV hook-ups involved.

Teddy Ruxpin Interactive Storytelling Bear with 3 Books

There was nothing better as a kid than having Teddy Ruxpin, the magical, talking bear, read you a bedtime story. A bit strange when you think about it, but for the kids it's truly great.

Lite Brite Flat Screen

Description

Now the Lite Brite comes in colors! Pink, white, black, red, you name it. Even a cube! And they're all flat-screen. Wow, my clunky toy used to bring me so much joy, if I only knew what the future would bring.

Playskool Lullaby GloWorm

OK, so it's not the GloWorm we grew up with, but my list wouldn't be complete without this little guy. We had the green faced WORM, not some cute little baby with antennae. Still, this is a great little toy for youngsters.

Popples Pop 'N Giggle - Diva Pop from Playmates Toy, Inc

Description

Now the Popples have names like Diva Pop - times, they are a changin. Still, this cuddly purple friend rolls into a ball and I guess has the same essence as our original Popples from years ago.

This was one of my favorite non-Disney movies when I was young. It's about a girl who ends up walking through a mirror to Hugga Bunch land, and facing an Evil Queen. It's fantastic.

THE game to have back then was Candy Land. I was ahead of my time and had a special edition with a VHS component, but you can never go wrong with the original board game.

Duck Hunt, Super Mario Brothers, Zelda... before video games turned 3D and athletic, we'd be glued to the TV for hours trying to beat the original, the best, Nintendo games.
