Heavy-Duty Brush - Lee Valley Tools
First to recommend
Description
A good cleaning brush is an essential garden tool.
For cleaning spades, garden shoes, and many other items, this brush has a tapered shape that allows it to reach into corners, while coarse palm-leaf bristles aggressively remove residue and caked-on mud.
Ideally shaped for cleaning pots, it helps rid them of pests and diseases, removes unsightly calcification, and leaves pots looking like new.
With an overall length of 11", the brush is 4" in diameter at its widest point, tapering to 2-1/2" at the top, and the willow handle has a clear varnish finish. Handy to have in any garden shed.

First to recommend
Description
All are easy-to-grow, double-duty (indoors or outdoors), exotic-looking plants that thrive on neglect. Sansevierias can be used with equal effectiveness as an accent plant or in mass in planters or beds. If there was ever a bulletproof plant, this is it. Can be grown in high light, deep shade, and everywhere in between. Tolerates low humidity. Tolerates low water and feeding. Tolerates being root bound. Few if any plants are as foolproof to grow. Sansevieria cylindrica var. patula African Spear- African Spear is easy to grow and tolerates a wide range of conditions. The preferred soil mixture consists of 3 parts loam to 1 part sand or a cactus mix. African Spear is very drought tolerant and during the growing season can be watered about every other week. Needs to be fertilized once during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer. During the winter months, watering once a month is sufficient. The leaves (spears) of this plant grow in a single plane appearing like a giant fan. The leaves have an elliptical cross section-not circular. When growing in high light, the leaves grow more upright. The inflorescence is a tall (up to 3 feet) spike-like raceme. The 1 1/2 inch flowers are white tinged with pink and are fragrant at night. African Spear requires natural daylight and warmth all year round. Easiest plant to grow that thrives on neglect, and loves to be left alone. (via http://marketplaceadvisor.channeladvisor.com)
