Sodastream Fountain Jet Home Soda Maker

5 people recommended this item

Description

If you're like me addicted to sparkling water but
1) tired of lugging back heavy bottles of sparkling water every time you go grocery shopping
2) you care about the environment (truck emissions to carry bottled water) and plastic (which ends-up in the ocean), if you have to get a soda maker.
3) you don't tend to not drink enough water unless it's sparkling and has some kind of taste to it
4) you want to save some money which never hurts in this economy
...YOU NEED A SODA MAKER!

Stores like Williams Sonoma do carry a limited selection of soda makers but they tend to be pretty expensive $200 and up) and take up a lot of room.
This one takes very little counter space (which was key for me because I have a tiny kitchen), costs under $100, and works great.

It's super easy to use: you fill the (supplied) bottle with regular tap water or filtered water, screw the top of the bottle into the sodastream and press a button a few times until you hear a noise. That whole process including filling the bottle with water takes me less than 2 minutes and the water comes out super fizzy. You can even adjust how fizzy you want the water by pressing the button fewer or more times.

I know I sound like a sales person but I have nothing to do with the company. I bought my soda maker from them a couple of months ago and used coupons on Retailmenot to get discounts and freebies (free flavoring samples, etc.). So far 2 of my friends who came for dinner have also bought one and love it as well so I highly recommend it.

And if you have to convince your spouse (like I did), remember the pitch: it's good for you, it's good for the environment, and it's good for the wallet. That's how I got mine! (via SodaStream)
