Krieger Tidal Watches
First to recommend
Description
The Krieger Tidal Chronometer not only gives you along with the time and date it also shows the present state of the tides and the moon phase. Made of stainless steel and water resistant to 660 feet, it's made to be worn out on the water but looks swank enough to wear everyday. Plus it tells everyone (very subtly) that you'd rather be out on the water. The Tidal watches are available in a wide variety of dials and bands and prices start around one thousand dollars. Description
It's completely old-school, the thing you might have seen in boardrooms in 1980s movies, but the Geochron has a certain charm. it is a global clock that show the amount of light and darkness in the world at any moment. It tells the current time anywhere in the world and displays sunrise, sunset and seasons. (via Luxist)

Hublot Big Bang Aryton Senna All Black Rattrapante

Description
Remember when the Hublot Big Bang watch seemed really, really big. These days the watch is about the same size as everyone else's but that doesn't make it any less interesting. The latest special edition of the Hublot Big Bang watch derives its punch from a sleek cloak of black enlivened only by a slash of a red signature and a colorful split second hand. The Hublot Big Bang Aryton Senna All Black Rattrapante sports the Ayrton Senna Institute, a non-profit institute founded by Viviane Senna, the sister of the deceased Brazilian racing driver, the Ayrton Senna. The watch is a Chronograph Split-Second with Power Reserve indicator in black with Ayrton Senna's signature in red and the Brazilian flag in green and yellow on the Split-Second hand which can be used to record an intermediate time by means of the two chronograph seconds hands. The push-piece on the watch is red. The watch is the first Hublot to go on sale in Brazil. The 44.5 mm case is done in polished black ceramic resin details. The movement is the Hublot HUB44 RT mechanical chronograph Fly-back with automatic winding. It has a black rubber strap with the Ayrton Senna signature in yellow on a green stripe on the inside. There are 500 numbered pieces and it sells for $25,000. (via Luxist)

Anonimo Shelby Mark II SE Watch
First to recommend
Description
The, Anonimo Shelby Mark II SE watch is a tribute to Carroll Shelby and the Shelby cars such as the Shelby Cobra and the 2007 Ford Shelby GT. The watch has a very classic and masculine look much like the cars themselves, it's as fitting a match as the elegant pairing of Brietling and Bentley. The movement is the automatic chronograph, modified Valijoux 7750 with small seconds subdial suppressed, 25 jewels Incabloc. It has a power reserve of 40 hours without the chronograph counting. The stainless steel case has a screw-locked bezel with a screw-locked back cover that has an exhibition back to allow the viewing of the movement balance. There are 500 of each of the two dial colors available and they sell for $5,500 each.

Robert Lighton Growler watch

Description
Sometimes with watches it's the little details that make it special. One of the reasons I love the Robert Lighton Growler submarine watch is for the attention to detail in the screw down crown and the hands. It will likely never go out of style. The stainless steel watch measures 45mm and uses an automatic movement with 25 jewels created by Soprod for Robert Lighton. The strap is French goatskin and each watch is numbered. It sells for $3.500.

Chronare Quadro wall clock
First to recommend
Description
I've seen plenty of watches that make telling time difficult in the name of precision but the ChronArte Quadro wall clock brings a similar idea to home decor. The watch uses colored textile bands which build up over time to form a colored face. After 12 hours when it is all colored in it changes back to a white square. The clock is radio-controlled and changes automatically from standard to daylight-saving time. It is in an aluminum frame that comes in various colors and finishes. Each once is produced in Switzerland and is a numbered piece. ChronArte also makes a the Canna, a wall with a liquid display of colored water and the Filo, a column clock which fills with color showing how the minutes and hours or days pass. The Quadro sells for around $4650.
