This gadget has been around long enough that the price has come down, you know it to be reliable, and easy to use for those non-techie people in your family. Sure, it is a splurge at 99$ for the cheapest model, but I think it would be a great "household" type of gift. Would let me cross off more then 1 person at once from the shopping list.

*note* I bought this for my sister this year and now both her and her husband are hooked! They say "I can't even imagine life before TiVo".

I absolutely love the retro but modern look on this bag! The clasp is by far my fave detail. With so many colors available it is hard to decide. I love the Blue, Black, and Tan myself. But at $48 maybe I could buy all 3... heh.

Note: this is the knockoff version of the Stam bag by Marc Jacobs.. usually retails for over a 1000$

*edit* I just purchased this in black and its not bad. Sure it has a weird fake leather smell and I ended up removing that long chain but I love it! It has several little pockets inside, and the size is just perfect to carry around a favorite book.
