Welded Wire

Description
Very handy wire fencing for climbing plants, for keeping dogs out, and for the chicken coop... Yes Siree. I have a chicken coop. (Eyes rolling.) (Came with the house.)

Crocs All-Terrain
First to recommend
Description
I'm not a fan of Crocs in general, except for these all-terrain leather/rubber combo shoes. They work super for yard work, as well as hiking in wet terrain. Great price for what you get.
By the way, that's me in my shoes at Sausal Creek with my dogs.

Converter Two-Way Hand Truck and 4-Wheel Cart
First to recommend
Description
Believe it or not, I've actually had to move a few embarrassing things from my front yard... A washing machine, a pink retro sink, and even a sofa bed. Don't ask how they got there... The important fact is, they got 'out' of there with the use of this dolly. It's cool because you can put it down and it turns into a 4-wheeled cart. Sweet or what?
It works well for moving garden rocks... Bags and bags of them.

Steel Yard Cart With Collapsible Sides
First to recommend
Description
One of the best gifts I received was this garden cart. It can haul a lot of stuff, including a giant dog! Okay, and lumber.

Marathon Industries 5 Cubic Feet Poly Wheelbarrow
First to recommend
Description
Two wheels. Two very big wheels. If you're 5'3" and 105 lbs., it's almost impossible to move a single-wheel wheelbarrow. I did learn and conquer, but it took a lot of falling sideways and whining. I would have avoided all that if I had bought this sooner.

Delux 24" Bamboo Rake
First to recommend
Description
Lately, I've been trying to follow the footsteps of my mother and grandmothers. In Vietnam, we used bamboo rakes. There's something that feels so much better when using bamboo... Like the scratching sound when it hits concrete. The metal rakes make me cringe. The bamboo sound is almost soothing.

Description
When all else fails, throw a tarp over it. I kid you not. Works really well.

Ergonomic Pruners
First to recommend
Description
Great for people with arthritis or achy hands. These pruners have a rotating mechanism that helps reduce straining hand muscles. They do cost about twice as much as the regular, but if you are going to do a lot of yard or garden work, it's worth investing in great pruners.

Non-Splinter Fiberglass Pitchfork
First to recommend
Description
I thought I needed a hoe! I was wrong. Somebody finally explained to me the difference between a pitchfork and a hoe. Thank God.

I'm one of those who "learn by experience" type of person. Oh yeah, I learned quite a bit of painting a house. It can be...
