Description

Protecting my eyes is important because they are very sensitive to the sun’s rays, not to mention the fact that I prefer to be discreet when checking out the hot men swarming the beaches! I have this horrible habit of losing and damaging sunglasses --- especially when I’m at theme parks always challenging those darn signs on roller coasters that tell you to remove loose articles. But my worries were over once I discovered the cheap and trendy shades at Forever 21. Now when I lose my shades, they are easy to replace at $8 each!

I discovered Lane Bryant’s wonderful selection of accessories while shopping with some of my BBB (Big, Bold and Beautiful) friends. I never thought to check out Lane Bryant, since I’m not a plus sized-woman, but I’m sure glad I did because I found this really cute bag along with other fashionable accessories! It’s a reversible handbag that I always take with me to the beach because I can have a different look depending on my mood. I flip it to the white solid quilted pattern during the day while I relax and sunbathe since it matches with any bikini I have on, and then I flip it to the animal print side after the sun sets which is when I’m usually on the prowl for some sushi!

Canon Powershot Digital Camera

Description

I love taking pictures! I keep a scrapbook and upload pics to MySpace on a regular basis…so I bring my camera with me everywhere. Thanks to technology, we no longer have those big chunky cameras that require you to buy film and actually visit a drug store to have the photos developed. The Canon PowerShot SD1000 is perfect because it’s digital, slim and chic! The large LCD screen let’s me decide within a split second whether or not I need to retake the photo…cause we all know we have to check the preview screen to make sure we look good! Vain, vain, vain!

Apple iPod shuffle

Description

I recently came into a new model of the ipod shuffle and I'm excited to begin using it at the gym. The convenient clip is such a fantastic design upgrade, and I love it's sleek brushed steel look and size.

When I owned the first gen model, I mostly used it as a usb flash drive. I didn't feel bad about only using it in this manner rather than for listening to music (mostly because my dog chewed it). But miraculously it still works for the data storage usb function, plus it was free (from an online promotion).

I always try to pack a healthy snack when I hit the beach. Ideally, you want something easy to snack on that’s not too heavy or else you’ll end up feeling bloated and feel like you have to suck it in that much more. That’s why I recommend Figi’s Sun Fresh Snack Pack. It’s got my favorite treats, like banana chips, apricots, and walnuts! A great combination that satisfies a growling tummy on the beach.

To prevent my face from premature wrinkles, I always apply Hawaiian Tropic’s Plus Sunscreen thirty minutes before I hop into my car and hit the road. I even set my cell phone to remind me to reapply every thirty minutes to prevent my skin from burning. Nobody said maintaining beautiful skin was easy!
