Women knit dresses Soft jersey Sara dress
2 people recommended this item
Description
A comfortable, versatile empire waist knit dress is a four-season pregnancy must-have. Buy this up a size or two from your regular size (I went with an XL for maximum growth potential!) and it'll work for all nine months. A dress like this can be dressed down with flats and leggings, or up with a wide belt above your bump, a big scarf (cute and bump-hiding) or a chunky necklace. Layer long-sleeved tees underneath or a cropped cardigan over the top.

RUCHED V-NECK > in Organic Cotton | parkvogel

Description
Ah, the anti-maternity maternity tee. The ruching means lots of room for your belly to grow, but also means your top FITS at all stages of pregnancy. The extra length is key as your third trimester starts -- no Winnie-the-Pooh belly baring required. And because it's Park Vogel, it is soft, stretchy and very, very high quality.

BCBGMAXAZRIA - SIGNATURE CARDI-WRAP
First to recommend
Description
The open cardigan is a fantastic maternity staple. You can drape or wrap it to disguise a burgeoning belly, or let it hang open when you've popped and are feeling cute. It's very warm and very soft (comfort is key during this stage!), and the S/M or M/L sizing is very forgiving. Think of it as growing along with you.

Liz Lange Maternity Leggings - Ebony

Buy at least two pairs of these -- seriously. They extend any dress, tunic or giant sweater into a warm, cozy, belly hugging outfit. These come up and over your belly and give you lots of room to move. It's tempting to sleep in one pair, get up, toss on a second pair with a babydoll dress and head to work.

Ingrid & Isabel Everywear Pant
First to recommend
Description
These are wear-everywhere pants -- seriously. They work for the gym, going out, work (under a dress or tunic), weekends, everything. The giant waistband is so perfect for the third trimester -- some days you feel like having a comfy knit band over the belly, some days, you don't. These pants work on both of those days.

Babystyle maternity 3/4 Sleeve Side-Shirred Dress

Description
Get this dress in black at the beginning of your second trimester, and pair with sheer hose and black heels -- instant sexy. Couldn't have survived the holiday party season without it. It works because of the gorgeous optical illusion -- from the front and back, you're in a slim-fitting calf-length knit dress. From the side -- instant baby!
