Outdoor dining, or picnics as they are commonly called, is a great excuse for me to get fun dishes like this Roots and Shoots Plate set made out of melamine with a organic motif. They are dishwasher safe but not appropriate for the microwave. (via Delight Store)

Solar Sun Jar

Last summer I got a couple of these Sun Jars for my backyard and they were so fabulous I'm going to get more this summer to line my patio when I have posh picnics. They soak up the sun during the day and then, at night they glow like candlelight but won't blow out when the wind picks up. (via Delight Store)

For outdoor entertaining, I love the look of teak furniture especially after it has weathered. I know some people faithfully apply teak oil every year to keep the tan color, but I don't. It doesn't really need it because there is already so much oil in the wood. And for me the weathering adds character!
