LUMENE SUN ON THE GO Protective Sun Care for Face & Lips
First to recommend
Description
I have to say that the packaging drew me in. What a great idea that this sunscreen is held in a slim little tube and the cap has a little lip balm dome built into it--very clever and convenient for slipping into one's purse.
The sunscreen itself is a little on the heavy side but I found that for drier skin like mine this is just the thing I need. It also has a very prominent floral fragrance which again did not bother me but should be kept in mind.
It’s the lip balm that is the gem of this product – it has a great, smooth, creamy texture and a nice, creamy vanilla scent, (but if you have darker/more pigmented lip take care not to layer too much as it will begin to look white and obvious. I used this product on my face, hands and neck on a recent trip to a very hot climate and was very pleased with the protection and the convenience.
Lumene products are now available in the U.S. at most CVS stores. (via Palacinka)

Most don't realize your your hair needs SPF too. You pay so much money for that perfect hue...now protect it....salt and chlorine are also hair wreckers. Besides, this smells incredible. (via welovebeauty)

Decleor Aroma Sun Protective Anti-Wrinkle Cream SPF 30
First to recommend
Description
This is the most luxurious treat for your skin while on a summer sun holiday! Its a medium-textured cream in a hand squeeze tube. I needed such a small amount to provide coverage for my face (even after reapplying after getting wet). What I also loved about this sun cream is that it made my skin so gorgeously smooth and really hydrated, especially when I burned a little - it really relieved the pain. A must have for the summer! Best of all, it didn’t cause any break outs or irritation and the amazing floral essences that are present in many of the Decleor products don’t disappoint here either. It’s so nice to have this fragrance linger while relaxing in the sun! This is a must for summer! (via palacinka)

Avalon Active Organics Vitamin C Moisture Plus Lotion with SPF 15
First to recommend
Description
This is a good Avalon C product. My combo/oily skin likes this a lot and has not caused me any breakouts. The texture is rich, but it sinks in quickly and provides a nice surface for applying my makeup. Great orange/citrus scent that's not a chemical smell, and the SPF is a definite plus. A little seems to go a long way; I've had this bottle for a month and have barely made a dent in it. I like the fact that a daily moisturizer has SPF so I don't fuss with another step. I use it daily and my skin feels comfortable (and protected!). (via drugstore)

I never thought I would be writing a positive review of an Avon product - I've just not had any luck with anything I've used in the past. This is different. I started using it at night instead of in the morning and I tell you what - my skin has never looked better!
I am hydrated without being greasy, my skin has cleared and the texture is so smooth. I just can't believe it. The only thing negative I can say about this product is that I think some people will be turned off by the fragrance. I don't happen to mind it but if you're looking for something fragrance free, this won't do for you. However, the benefits of this cream and how it makes your skin look might influence you to reconsider. :-) Now I am hooked, It leaves my skin soft and ready for foundation. (via amazon)

SK II Advanced Protect Essence UV 3
First to recommend
Description
This is a very good sun block product, and it doesn't leave white film on my tan skin. It moisturizes well and it absorbs well into the skin, even here (in Las Vegas!) in hot summer weather, I still put on this before going out. I just fell in love with from the first time I put it on my face.
The real benefit and mark of the essence's quality is that it is absorbed very easily and only takes two pump drops for my whole face. The 30 ml bottle will last for at least two months (using it every morning). It also has SPF15 so I don't need to put additional layer of sunscreen on top of it. As for the bottle design I love the deep red/silver casing, I love the feeling of using it and it gave my face good hydration and beautiful glow! (via palacinka)

Bliss Oil-Free Sunban Face SPF 30+

Description
I have not had the best of luck with sunscreens for my face. – They either provided a mattifying effect but would break me out, or they still provided just a tad too much moisture and end up making me oilier. This Bliss Oil Free version is a very good blend of providing some moisture, protection and keeping the oil at bay. The texture and feel of this sunscreen is more like a serum and feels very light on the face. Within seconds it absorbed into my skin and took away the shine. During a day outside I would say I only had to blot a few times on my forehead and nose, but otherwise the product didn’t melt off or feel sticky under my makeup. (via blissworld)

Dr. Brandt Daily UV Protection SPF 30 Colorless

Description
What a great sun protection product! I have tried a few other Dr. Brandt products which I was very happy with, and this is no exception. It is now my MUST HAVE sunscreen for my face. A list of reasons why I like it: great amount for the price, for its size (size of a bottle of hand lotion, but for your face!), it has a nice mousse texture, it is used after moisturizer so it is perfect for people who use day cream/lotion with no sunscreen, it makes my face so soft with no greasiness (and lasted through the humid summer in Singapore), my makeup looked better and lasted longer when I used this. I will replace, but it lasts so long, it'll be awhile before I need to! (via palacinka)

Sport UV Defense SPF45

Description
This is the best sunblock for those sunny, warm days. I have absolutely no complaints about this product whatsoever. It's simply the best- the texture is light and non-greasy and I used it on both my face and body. The company is fantastic and has created a sunscreen that uses ingredients that will not interfere with any skin situation- this product has stood by me during intensive sweaty workouts, and after professional skin peels. I have sensitive combination skin, and though the product is not oil-free, the finish is beyond any other sunscreen I have ever used. Extremely natural, not at all greasy. It actually makes my skin smoother and softer. I always use it under makeup now! (via skinceuticals)

Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist Sunblock
12 people recommended this item
Description
It’s been a while since I’ve used a Neutrogena product, and I must say that their new line of sun products is very impressive. I loved this cooling body mist sun block.
I sprayed it on my neck, legs, chest, and arms every day because I wanted a quick easy way to protect those areas during may latest beach vacation. I loved the cooling feel too – very refreshing. I got excellent protection.
One thing to note is that the spray has a very prominent smell (it does dissipate after a few minutes), so I would not recommend spraying it in an enclosed area like a closed bathroom, or close to others on the beach. I do however appreciate that this is broad-spectrum protection. I also liked the fact that it was very light feeling on my skin- no greasy heavy feeling like with lots of sun lotions. Instead it dries fast! However, take note not to OVER apply thinking you don’t have enough on, as this can give you a sticky feeling on your skin. I also got the best results by spraying on and then rubbing it in like a lotion. This gave me a very even coverage.
The best part – it’s easy for someone to your back and they don’t have to get their hands all slathered with lotion!
Other pluses -- I spent all day at the beach with only one reapplication and it never felt sticky or oily as the day went on. This is also great for those of you with kids who don't have the patience to let you rub lotion on or have already covered themselves in a film of sand. You can just spray away without touching them. The container is great--easy to throw in a beach bag and won't spill like other brands. (via drugstore)
