Summer does not start until June 21, but as everyone knows Memorial Day weekend has always been deemed the "unofficial" kickoff to the summer season. What a great find! I have very pale skin that always gets red and irritated by the sun, so I’m constantly on the search for an effective sun block that won’t clog my pores, or leave that ghastly white cast on my skin!
This Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch is fabulous! I recently used it everyday on a vacation to a very hot local and was very impressed. I only used it on my face. It went on smooth, didn’t make my face greasy or oily and absorbed immediately. It is AMAZING, it really is dry to the touch right after application, and didn’t cause any skin problems. I can apply makeup right on top almost immediately. I even noticed that my skin did not get such “middle of the day” oilies as usual – huge bonus! This will be my summer time staple.

Desert Essence Sunscreen Towelettes, SPF 30

I cannot believe it’s taken this long for me to find a product like this! These light wipes provide a large amount of product for face and body (Two wipes were enough for my arms, upper body neck and face for example).
The container itself is super light and small so I could take it everywhere with me and ended up having one in the car and one at the gym so I could reapply after my workout/shower. The wipes are pulled out via a small opening in the top and the top snap shuts with a hard plastic flip top to keep them moist and hygienic.
What was also great is that there was no unpleasant smell, the wipes were so easy to apply, went on clear with no white or grey residue on my skin. Even better, the sunscreen stayed put, and did not irritate my skin or my face. It didn't leave a sticky residue and didn’t make me feel oily. After it's on, I really didn't even notice it was there. These wipes also contain skin-loving Jojoba and Vitamin E. Love it!

Description
I recently had a great opportunity to try this product, on a beach getaway with my boyfriend. I was very happy with it. Usually, after spending the day in the ocean water and sun and rinsing off repeatedly, my skin feels really parched, and having also gotten tanned skin, it can also feel a little rough to the touch. This is a super creamy soft cream that goes on and instantly soothes the skin and plumps up the little fine lines and any scaliness when I had some light peeling. It’s fairly rich, so it’s not going to be for those with oilier skins, but I was also impressed that with my on- and-off sensitive skin, that was never irritated. The cream leaves a slight sheen, but does not look too greasy. With a nice tan the sheen actually complimented my skin. Just remember that this is not a sun block, so this is for evening, before applying makeup for the night out or before going to bed. (via palacinka)

Lubriderm Daily Moisturizer Lotion with Sunscreen SPF 15

This is a fantastic product that I felt great about using to protect and enhance my skin. The texture is lightweight in body and creamy in feel, and it absorbed into my skin completely, leaving no residue on my skin. For general everyday type SPF protection, I really like this Lubriderm UV lotion. I was so happy that I could use it all over my body and it didn’t leave a greasy feeling on my skin! Unlike many sunscreens, it’s has a light, fresh scent that fades 10-15 minutes after putting it on (which I found pleasant)...very fresh smelling and not sticky.
I’m pretty religious about wearing sunscreen, especially when I know I'll be outside for extended periods of time. But, on most days I tend not to use sunscreen with SPF 45+. I found this to be a great substitute using this lotion on as my regular lotion in the morning after my shower or after a gym work out. I felt good that when I was out during the day, I knew I had at least a basic SPF on.
I now keep one in a few places in the house so that I can always reapply as necessary, and put some on my kids as well to protect their skin! (via Palacinka)

NARS Hydrating Freshening Lotion

I have always had high hopes that I would find a toner that would be worthy of the extra skin care step, but I have not always been impressed. However, after using this for toner for several weeks, I can say that this is a great product! It didn't irritate or dry out my sensitive/combination skin, or give me that tight feeling that some toners have. It also didn’t sting like some toners can.
This toner has a transparent gel texture and removed flaky skin in one swipe with no irritation. One squirt on a pad was enough to swipe my face (or just t zone). I loved the fact that it’s non-scented and didn’t make me break out. In fact, my face started to look amazing after using this product.
Putting this toner before my moisturizer greatly calmed those areas and my skin felt softer and looked healthier. Since my skin texture was better, my makeup application was more even and looked better. I loved that I didn't even have to use a moisturizer some days after using this.
NARS skincare also happens to have some of the best looking packaging I've ever seen among skincare brands. It is also a huge bottle, so it is completely worth the price tag. (via Palacinka)

Juice Beauty Cleansing Gel

Description
I was very impressed with this organic cleanser. The texture of the cleanser is a mid-weight gel and it took off every bit of oil, makeup and debris from my face. It made my skin look and feel clean afterwards. It did not feel harsh or irritating and rinsed off very well. Anyone with oilier skin looking for an effective, gentle cleanser this is the one – and the fact that it’s organic is fantastic!
This cleanser also kept my acne at bay! After using this for several weeks, I noticed a significant difference in the amount of flare ups that occurred. (via Palacinka)

Juice Beauty SPF 20 Mineral Medium Tinted Moisturizer

Description
This is a great tinted moisturizer that doesn't contain any chemical sunscreens (it does contain titanium dioxide). It has a nice, light feel and was not oily or greasy feeling. The Mineral Medium is a great sheer bronze color which looks darker in the bottle, but worked with my skin tone perfectly (this will work best up to a Rihanna complexion).
It was very sheer, and it gave my skin a warm glow and provided just enough moisture throughout the day. I had no problems with breakouts or irritations which also made me very happy. It only took a small amount to cover my face and it has a light fragrance to boot. This is perfect for the warmer weather and after going to the gym to go out. (via Palacinka)

You know the feeling...you've been traveling, or shaking a lot of hands, or playing with the kids all day but you just don't happen to be near any soap and water! There are hand sanitizing wipes and gels on the market, but without a doubt this product is a dream come true!
Clean Well hand sanitizers are made with all-natural Ingenium which is a patented formula proven to kill 99.99% of harmful germs that can make you sick including Samonella, resistent Staph, and Listeria. The travel sized version (pictured left) is what I used, and it was a great size -- no more than 5 in" long and superlight. The spray pump is tucked away under a flip top cap which snaps closed.
The biggest plus for me was that no water is required. Wherever I needed it, I could whip this out of my bag or my jacket pocket, spray once and I was all set. What I also loved was that is dries quickly but didn't dry out my hands. It still left them soft with a nice pleasant fresh/citrus scent. My hands felt clean, soft and fresh! I am stockpiling these! E.L.F. Nail Polish Berry Pink

So much for just $1! This is a thin formula that glided on smoothly, quickly and easily. It dried very quickly with almost no streaking as well. This polish covered my nails fairly well in the first coat, and the brush was just the right size/design. I also found that it lasted four to five days on me without chipping and stayed shiny, which for me that is quite remarkable - normally, most polishes chip on the very first day (I'm pretty hard on my nails). For packaging buffs these are absolutely adorable…with a splash of “faux” polish spilling out from underneath the cap! All for $1! Brilliant!
The color is a cheery, fun, deep bubble gum shade of pink that is slightly metallic with some light shimmer – perfect for summer (and very accurately represented on the site). 2 coats really brought out the full potential of the color, but one coat was also a nice wash of pink as well. It also looked great on my toes. This will work best up to a Whitney Houston shade.
Note: These nail polishes are toluene free, formaldehyde free, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP) free and hypoallergenic.

The Multiple by NARS in Maui

I’ve used many NARS products over the years, but never a multiple! I was as pleased as I thought I would be. This was the perfect product to use in the morning when I needed to get out of the door quickly or on the weekends when I just needed a basic look. I used this on my eyes, cheeks and lips and find it excellent for all three. The texture is a little dry (so if you have very dry skin a moisturizing primer is essential!) but I that's why it's so long-lasting. I applied it with my fingers, blended well and created a nice stain on my lips, and a nice flattering color on my eyes and cheeks.
With this and a little liner, mascara and powder and I was ready in five minutes! This shade is a dusty, pinky peach, the perfect shade for me! This shade has enough red to give a me fresh looking cheeks, but also enough orange/pink tones to really warm it up in a sophisticated way. I just looked really healthy and glowy when I wore it. Also it seemed to bring out my eyes dramatically. It’s incredibly flattering and also very versatile. It has a great stay-put texture without being drying or cakey – my color didn’t fade at all during the day. This particular shade will work very well up to a Beyonce complexion. (via Palacinka)
