Slide Exofa Chair

First to recommend

Description

I really like the versatility of a chair that looks perfectly suitable to both indoor and outdoor use. Designed by Jorge Najera for Slide, this Exofa chair is made from molded plastic, which will make it stand up to the elements outside. The form is also so appealing that incorporating it with your interior design won't be a problem.

Doonut, by Eric Berthes

First to recommend

Description

I suppose the only thing better than sitting in the middle of your living room in a giant donut would be to sit in one that was stylishly designed, mixing a futuristic frame design with a floating, weightless feel. Designed by Eric Berthes for Branex Design, the Doonut is made from fiberglass and sculpted into comfortable proportions. Looks pretty amazing, too.

Ceci N'est Pas Une Brouette

First to recommend

Description

I love the idea that when you're Philippe Starck, you just do whatever you want, regardless of how functional or reasonable or bound by contemporary design sensibilities a piece may be. I'm sure many a designer has looked at a wheelbarrow and chuckled to herself at the thought of transforming the bucket form into a seat. But this is what it looks like when the dream makes it to retail. It's called "This is not a barrow," of course.

Mr. Impossible Chair

2 people recommended this item

Description

A little space-age, a little plastic-contemporary, this Mr. Impossible Chair by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet is timelessly accessible. Nearly bland in its inoffensiveness, the chair walks a neat line where understatement meets design savvy. The smoky translucence of the chair also give it some pretty exciting interior design potential.

Clusterlamp By Moooi

Maybe more an experiment in light art than a traditional lamp, Clusterlamp features five unique fixtures, offering infinite lighting combinations. A collection of diffused bulbs of various sizes, colors, and intensities is recommended for the fullest effect.

CELEBRITY LAMP (made with 40 pairs of aviator glasses)!

2 people recommended this item

Description

Such a fantastic mix of humor and tasteful design. You miss the fact that it's made with aviator sunglasses at first glance, as the lamp simply looks to incorporate an abstract shade. But that's 40 pairs of mirrored aviators.

Fiber Chandelier

First to recommend

Description

As cool as this chandelier looks, it's unconventional functionality is even cooler. The lamp substitutes traditional light bulbs with optical fibers that create a subtle, moody light.

Fall of the Damned - Lampshade From Hell

4 people recommended this item

Description

Strange and sculptural, this Fall of the Damned pendant lampshade depicts either a human struggle between between forces of good and evil or the early moments of a spirited orgy. Designed by Luc Merx, this piece is created for a singularly unique (and well funded) interior.
