myKeyO keyboard/organizer

Description

You THINK this is a regular keyboard... little do you know you can open it up like a trunk and keep things in it! Perfect for those of us still wondering why desks don't come with drawers anymore.

Description

A company in Philadelphia makes these. I saw one for the first time last night at Low End Theory at Airliner in L.A., watching Daedalus play. (Killer set, btw.)

Totally blown away by the gear.

And this thing... well... let's just say it's like Lite Brite on crack.

It has no hardwired functionality - it's completely adaptable and versatile. You plug it into your laptop and use it as a controller synced up with the application you're running on the computer. You can just as easily use it to control samples and drums as you can as a game controller. And to see it all lit up in use, going nuts - it's sick. It's the coolest thing ever. (via Cody DeMatteis)

As if this good, clean fun weren't enough, you can get an inflatable track to go along with them. No, I'm not kidding. A blow up track. SCORE!

Excuse me... Mr. Engineer, sir... can I have a sidecar for my rubber duckie??

Is anyone else reminded of Davy Jones in the introduction sequence for "The Monkees" when you look at this?

No?

Just me?

Okay.

NES Controller Coffee Table

First to recommend

Description

Not only is this a sweet mock up of a NES controller... not only does it open up for added game storage inside... not only does it make a great coffee table if you pop a piece of glass on top of it...

...but the thing actually WORKS.

Tostabags

Description

These little bags are made of fiberglass. You can use them to put messy, drippy things into your toaster without worrying about making the whole toaster disgusting with non-toast food goop.

I need this if I am to achieve the goal of having the geekiest home imaginable.

And this thing... well... it's genius in that Martha Stewart meets Christopher Latham Sholes kind of way.

Don't even tell me you never thought Star Wars and Singing in the Rain wouldn't be the perfect mash up.
