Proactiv Solution - 3 Steps to Clear Skin
9 people recommended this item
Description
I have generally been genetically blessed with nice skin. However, I can still get sustained periods of breakouts. When I do, this is the single most effective acne-fighting tool. And it works for a wide range of skin types. My boyfriend was not genetically blessed with good skin. He was even on acutane and the whole nine yards as a kid. Now, at nearly 30, he still has problems with acne, but if he uses Proactiv regularly, he can usually keep it in check. Warning: Will bleach your very expensive sheets and pillow cases!

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 85
First to recommend
Description
It may seem like overkill to wear SPF 85, but when you have as many freckles and as pale skin as I do, it is a necessity. After a horrible experience where I was sunburned in all sorts of weird patterns on my last cruise, I swore to myself that such a scenario would never happen again. When I cruised earlier this month, I started by applying this sunscreen all over my body first thing in the morning (including my face), and then a half hour later, I followed that up with a spray sunscreen at SPF 80 just to make sure I did not miss any spots. And lo, I have returned from my cruise even paler than when I left. Mission accomplished!

philosophy the present clear makeup
5 people recommended this item
Description
This primer I pull out when my skin is feeling particularly rough. It is a clear silicone formula that instantly smoothes your complexion. I have even noticed it to reduce redness and irritation in my skin, although I don't know how, since it is clear! On a good skin day, I don't need this, but on a bad skin day, it is my best friend! eye bright pencil

Description
I do not leave the house without this eye pencil applied (unless I am feeling REALLY lazy). This product, applied along the dark line under your eyes makes me look at least 150% more awake in the mornings. I apply it directly over any dark areas (whatever concealer has failed to cover), and gently smudge it in with my fingers. Works miracles! (via benefit)

Bare Escentuals
3 people recommended this item
Description
I almost exclusively use Bare Minerals make up, although I do find Benefit to be an excellent company and use some of its products as well. Bare Minerals is the best make up that I have found. It is easy to apply. It works well with my freckles. Most importantly, it's weightless and does not leave a line on my jaw. It blends into my skin perfectly. I recommend everything and personally use: foundation, concealer, blush, mineral veil, eyeshadow, liner shadows, brow corrector, mascara, and lip treatments!

Description
They aren't lying when Benefit markets this as an industrial strength concealer. If you are prone to dark circles, like I am, this is a must have in your arsenal. I am particularly pleased that they offer it in a light version, because I'm pale, as well as tired looking! (via benefit)

Sephora: Philosophy Cinnamon Buns: Bath & Shower Gel
3 people recommended this item
Description
I have recently run out of this shower gel, and I have to go pick up some more. It is my absolute favorite shower gel, and I use it religiously. I particularly like the cinnamon buns "flavor" because it smells exactly like cinnamon buns. At first, I worried that this would make me constantly crave cinnamon buns, but it has actually had the opposite effect. I now associate the smell with a nice relaxing shower. Either way, works great and smells just as great! I recommend many of the flavors by Philosophy, but this is my favorite.
