This favorite of many professionals does five jobs well. Use it instead of a trowel for digging, planting bulbs, and weeding. The saw blade cuts roots and divides small perennials. The pointed end is a crevice tool.

Traditionally used in Japan to collect specimens for bonsai (hori means "digging"), the knife has a heavy steel blade that is dished, with a serrated edge on one side and a sharpened edge on the other.

Hardwood handle. Available with either a carbon-steel blade or a rust-resistant stainless-steel blade. The stainless knife has graduations and an extra-sharp blade. Each comes with a belt sheath and is approximately 12" overall.

Excellent for flower arranging or rooting, this vase is made up of seven minature vases in three tiers. I think it's a small thing of beauty. Even though these days, fresh flowers seem to be a frivolity (unless you grow them yourself), this vase screams to be filled. Although, it's pretty cool all on its own.

Each vase is 2 3/4 inches tall with a 1-1/8" diagonal opening, 6" tall overall. Perfect for small stemmed flowers that can be tricky to arrange.
