Bad Monkeys by Matt Ruff

i litterally read this book in two days. it is one of the best and most fun works of fiction i have ever read. the story follows an operative of a secret organization who's purpose is to eliminate "irredeemable persons" (a.k.a. "bad monkeys"). this book is chalked full of intrigue, action, suspense and amazingly none of it is at all trite or contrived.

Where the Wild Things Are: Maurice Sendak

Description

I loved this book and its wild illustrations. The story of King Max and how his bedroom transformed into a jungle. I'm recalling this from memory, so you'll have to forgive me if I get any of the facts wrong. This book will always hold a special place in my heart, even though I don't recall owning a copy of it. I'm pretty sure it was introduced to me at school or day care. At any rate, it is far from forgotten, and would be a wonderful introduction to Maurice Sendak for any child.

Every once in awhile I hear someone use a word and I just think "Wow." It's not that I'm confused necessarily, it's that I don't exercise my vocabulary to its full capacity. I try to use a Word a Day, but perhaps I should read through this book.
