Description

Take lemons and make lemonade... when Hallmark gives you a sucky holiday make it special by giving something that is simple and charming...

Each month the recipient gets an adorable little planter and seasonally appropriate seeds. It's a little bit of beautiful year-round.

PAW PRINTS KEEPSAKE FRAME

Description

True Story.

As I was baking Christmas cookies for my family (from scratch, natch) I decided to press little Jack's foot into a piece of dough for a keepsake. I secluded it from the actual cookies for consumption in a piece of foil...

Fast forward 24 hours as I am sitting at the table doing a Sudoku I watch in horror as my Dad polishes off the last of Jack's paw print... mud, pup hair and all...

This would have been a better idea...

Home Plate Coir Doormat

Description

A family that is fanatic about baseball would love to receive this as a gift. Normally I would not send a doormat, but they make such great ones right now, it's hard to resist.

Is the letters as wall art trend over yet? I hope not because these letters are quite charming. Not sure what I would spell...

FaNCyPanTs perhaps?? Nah, that's just dorky.

Pottery Barn- Lucy Clock

First to recommend

Description

Personally, I am anti-alarm clock. I prefer to get up whenever the hell I want to get up. OR at 6am when Jack+Jill start begging to be let out of their crates to go whizz.

These clocks are these wonderful, almost edible colors that will brighten up even the earliest morning.

Pottery Barn Project Desk

First to recommend

Description

I just got my Pottery Barn catalouge in the mail yesterday (suburban, I know) and I fell in love with this desk. It is the perfect place for me to wrap presents, write letters, work on my laptop and sew fabulous creations for my dogs. I love the height, storage and of course my affinity for white furniture.

It's a little steep, over 1k-- I guess I'll just have to bake more doggie biscuits.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways....

You're sparkly, christmas-y, tall, charming and can hold countless kitschy ornaments...

I really want to buy it and then tie it on top of the roof of the Land Rover... (via laurasweet)

Synlawn - The Synthetic Alternative To Natural Grass.

First to recommend

2 people recommended this item

Description

Plastic grass. My landscape architect pal swears by this stuff: no watering, wears well, animals love it (and stay cleaner). "Premium" is what you should get for your house... the other stuff's for playgrounds and office parks. We're seriously considering... Stop laughing. Plastic grass is way cooler than watering a lawn during a the perpetual drought that besieges L.A. And, hey, if we ever get a true rainy season, no mud. How jealous are you going to be then?
